They're not too smart in Jackson? :D
I'm ordering one too for a Bosch.

That dust collector looks a little "un-designed". I would for sure mill a decent mouth pice which fits around the mill and add something which prevent the dust from spreading when milling.
Dust collector is a must in any mill and should not be neglected. Sh1t stays on the rails and make you go bananas with that cleaning rug :D

Just so you know Joey, I was born in Jackson. So I quite agree, Jackson is hillbilly country. Hehehe.

Was'nt there a tune going like "I'm going to Jackson" by "The man in black" - C&W legend :D

Must be why you spell coming with two M's.:D
Momma, Mmary, Mmississippi? :D

Good thing I like you Joey. Good catch by the way. I weren’t no good at that spelling thing. That’s cuz spelling is learned memory behavior. I tend to reason things out logically. Oh well can't have it all. Good thing you leaned toward the spelling aspect.
LOL Jim.

I'm in communication with the maker of the mounts.
Looks like he's some machining genius.
He makes machines too apparently.
I hope they're not windmills. :D

agility/efficiency/economy check

I built my cnc so I don't really have a need for another router mount yet, but I'm wondering how you guys are accounting for the mass. If you mount your cutting tool to a sherman tank, it's going to be solid, but it may not change directions like you. It's always been my goal to minimize the weight at the workpiece for agility and economy. Choosing steel to mount the router over aluminum will increase the motor requirements and hinder acceleration and turning speed. Probably not a lot stiffer. This may not be an issue if you are only going to cut shafts and tapers, but for inlays, it looks like poison.
Have you guys ruled out K2CNC as a source for mounts and/or whole machines? IMHO, they look a whole lot like Techno-Isel, without the price tag. Here's a bosch mount for $59.95

I have no affiliation with them, but I did sleep at holiday inn last night.

K2 Mounts

I have been dealing with Ron at K2 for a while and he is very fair and well equipped. His mounts are sturdy and effective (aluminum with relief cuts, very light). Any new design work is done timely, and he can fabricate on site. Joey, you ought to get to know him! Good cue making to all, Kent
