rubber bumper

The flat disc / Southwest-ish type is my preference. (not the jug plug type) The Mac and Schmelke types are probably the best at bumpering once you get used to the funny look. The Viking trapezoid profile also protects well against the Moses move and is most common among my cues. Of course I have trained myself not to contemplate how normal and cheap they look while I am shooting but that is more than an extra step and possibly insurmountable for many.

I heard of a snooker player, with a one piece cue do some bumper bouncing with his cue while boarding an Elevator, slipped, when thru the entry/floor cavity to where the sun don't shine.

What type of rubber bumper in the butt section is best? Is there a best shape and does it affect deflection? Would a carbon fiber butt bumper be better?
I prefer one made of the old Wham-O Superball, made of "Zectron".
If you bounce it off the floor perfectly plumb, you can get your cue to stick in the ceiling 14 feet high, sometimes 16 feet!

Best bumpers are chrome. We don’t see that anymore. I had rock crawling bumpers on my TJ.
Nobody mentioned Bumper Pool. I’m playing tomorrow.
I agree. Had to compromise with a giant chrome grill instead. Of course GMC then released their Vader chrome grill on the 24 a couple months after I bought my 23. It’s my new favorite, but fortunately I hate the new interior bad enough I didn’t feel compelled to immediately trade.
