Rubber for Gc3

rubber

Call Diamond and tell them you want Artemis intercontinental k-66. It is going to cost about 300.00 shipped, but it will last and play awesome. Other wise call Glen or Donnie. they could help you with Artemis, also.
Thanks, Ron

a gc3 that needs rubber what should i get and some tips where to buy wholesale

Why does everyone want to put artemis cushions on a Brunswick table?
Brunswick super speed cushions are made for the Brunswick tables.

Look on line and order them, the table will play the speed it should.

I agree, I don't know what the life expectancy is for Super Speed, but there's nothing wrong with Brunswick cushions on Brunswick tables what-so-ever:smile:

I LOVE Brunswick pool tables! Most of them any way!lol. But i do have problem with the quality of some of their cushion. Besides the fact we had a ton of it go bad a few years back, have any of you guys noticed that
their molds or something needs to be changed. The top edges have been anything but perfect, canvass missing in places and so on.

Artemis quality has been perfect! Almost to pretty to cover up! Well worth the money imo.

I have replaced alot of bad super speed cushions and a couple of Artemis. The super speed is cheaper, but you will get what you pay for. Like i tell others when i give them a price. Pay me now or pay me later.LOL

Because they're considered to be the best - and priced accordingly.
The fact that Diamond uses them further adds to people wanting them regardless of table mfg.
Remember you're on AZ - where only the best will do for many peeps.

Yea, no worries.
I'd suggest the Tour Edition or Super Speed cushions which are both good quality without burning the pocketbook.

I never said they're not a good cushion, I wonder why everyone want's them on the Brunswick Table? If you have a brunswick, use Brunswick. If you have a Diamond, use Artemis. If you have a Olhausen, use Ac-U-Fast.

All the different cushions are cut at different profiles.
That's all I'm saying, I don't want to get in to who uses what, for what reason.

The "who" is the general opinion of forum members.
Consider the high forum opinion of Diamond tables, Diamond uses Artemis ergo they must be the best cushions (consensus). Nil is said regarding the quality of German engineering and manufacturing but that can be a separate discussion.

Frankly I don't see "everyone" wanting Artemis on their Brunswick or other brand table altho when it does come up it seems to usually involve a Brunswick table. IMO it's a good thing that people have several choices when it comes to replacing cushions.

If you read thru this forum you'll find a lot of "what's the best" threads and since this forum is a good sample of the
billiard community (at least the USA sector) then one could infer that majority opinion has merit.

I think you answered your own question, when you said you wonder why everbody wants Artemis on Brunswick tables. It is because they are having problems with Brunswick cushions and do not want to have to replace them for a long time.LOL

They are the wrong cushion & profile for Brunswick Tables or any other table for that fact.
They were made for Carom Tables, not pool tables.

German engineering is great quality for sure, and Artemis Cushions are great for a 3 cushion Billiard Table.
Diamond has and awesome POOL TABLE, and Diamond cut the sub-rail to fit the Artemis cushion.
All other tables need the sub-rail pitch changed to use Artemis cushions.
The Artemis is faster, and grabs the ball creating more English.

I don't disagree the Brunswick Super Speed Cushion has had it's problems.
BUT, if the cushions are put on by a good mechanic, the Brunswick cushion is a very good choice for a lot
of pool tables, and the best choice for the Brunswick Tables.

Mark, you need to read my original post. You have to use Interconintal-k-66. This is the correct profile for a k-55 table. If you are cutting rails, then you are going through alot of extra work and wrongful at that.
Thanks, Ron

Trust me, I know which cushion, and the profiles are close to Super Speed, but play nowhere close.
The Intercon- K-66 are k-55 cushions, we both know that. The round nose of the cushion will play very fast if you don't change the pitch and bring the nose up to 1" 29/64. I've done plenty of rail extensions with both cushions on Brunswick and Diamond tables to know.If I cut any sub-rail, I replace the popular wood back on the sub-rail. Yes, it's work to do it, but when the table's done right and the spec's are correct, then I'm satisfied with the job.

I'm not trying to act like someone that I'm not, sorry if you took it that way.
I just know the cushions, and how to make tables play right.
