Randy, this is something I've always wondered about. Could you remark on this
Wikipedia article that describes "the rise of Texas Express" and tell us what's right and wrong with their description? I know they get things wrong sometimes and would appreciate any clarification you can offer.
In particular, can you tell us whether Texas Express Rules were a complete independent set of rules or some key rule changes that were incorporated into an existing ruleset? Did BCA have a ruleset before Texas Express?
Here's one of the "
Texas Express Official 9-Ball Rules" posted at various locations online. Is it a valid "Texas Express" ruleset? [By the way, I found the "replace the ball" rule in these rules - so I was wrong that it isn't covered - sorry about that.]
I'm not trying to minimize the importance of Texas Express, which was clearly a major force in modernizing the game of 9-ball, just trying to reduce my own ignorance about this.
