My 36 does not deserve its own thread, but I will put it here anyway. Over a year since I got past 35. Should have been at least a 45, but I basically one-stroked a shot, hit it way too hard and it rattled.

Other than that, my usual "london brawling" style of manhandling the table.

Nice run Dennis, were going to have to get out and play a few sets soon..matches...or is it games?

your on a good path to another over 50 fence, mista

Feels like it. Lots of high 20s and some 30s lately, though I am sure Marop will tell you it is a long way from high 20s to 50.

Friday, I went into the basement for a few minutes. First inning 28. No play on Saturday. On Sunday, I tried for a bit. 21, 26, 28 (made the break shot and another ball, but the cue followed in! I thought I had a half tip of low on it!) and 29 (break ball too close to the rack, put it on the spot above, two rails and broke the balls had a tough combo underneath and missed.)

Last night, tried for about 20 minutes. 29. Could have picked a few off to get in the 30s, but tried a riskier shot bridging over the rack, to break some more out and it did not fall.

Nice shooting Dennis - your inning counts sound real promising and I'm sure it's just a few small adjustments to shot selection/patterns to get higher percentages overall that will lead to the bigger numbers more consistently! At least that's what I keep telling myself...also stuck in the 20's/30's daily - although I did run 44 today at West Chester Billiards before I missed an easy shot due to a lapse in concentration. Keep shooting!

Nice run, Dennis.

The shot you really need to learn from occurs at 3:10. When you shoot the eleven ball in the side, you should follow softly. The one ball in the opposite side is just as good a key ball. As you learned, the draw on the eleven risked moving the one, and you were lucky to get away with it. Straight pool is about good habits, and running into balls in the end pattern is usually something to be avoided.

Thanks, Stu. As usual, you are right as rain. If I had enough angle to draw and get shape, I had enough angle to just follow and get easier shape cross side. I do bump into way too much.
