Run This (29)

I tried to draw it out with the CueTable pages, but haven't used it enough. if I get bored later I'll try it.

Draw back on the 8, then stop shot pattern for the most part (2,9,5,4,7,6). 7 is setup, and the 6 ball is the key ball (following a little to make a little more angle). 1 ball is behind the rack break shot.

edit - haha figured it out, my idea below

Finally got Cuetable to play nice :)

What about 8-7-6-1-2-9-5?

It's basically a stop shot shot run out throughout. The 4 as the break ball isn't ideal, but I don't mind breaking from there if I get the right angle, and I should be able to do that from the 5 pretty easily.

i like going 8,2,9,5,4,7,6 leaving the 1 for the break ball

I like this too, and I looked at that. But, for my game, I'm more comfortable breaking from the sides of the rack than the bottom.

I'm with you on this one. It immediately jumped out at me. I guess the bottom of the rack one is ok, but I usually look to the side first and like you say, with the 5 as a setup the 4 should be nice.

8-1-6-7-2-9-5

really, shoot off the bottom 4 balls however you like, but get on the 2-9-5 last is a real good easy 3 key balls, with ton of room for error.

I don't see any decent break ball, so I'm going to try and develop the 7 into a good one. I really don't like my last 3 ball pattern, but if I was at the table, this is probably what I'd end up doing.

Edit: I'm not sure why, but it won't let me scroll through the pages here. If I click on the "edit" button (little pencil) I can go through the pages, so it's the right url. Hopefully it works for you guys.

Interesting solution. The reason the cuetable wasn't showing all of the pages is an issue that Wei knows about and is working on. For now, just keep your sequences 8 pages and under and they'll show up. I cut your 8th page above so your sequence shows up.

Did anyone think about leaving the 5 or 9 as the break ball, and lastly leaving the cue ball in the triangle to get ball-in-hand in the kitchen?

I didn't think of that. The 9 is certainly workable with ball in hand.

Now that you mention it... I REALLY like the 5 as a break ball... and using the 9 as a key ball.
That makes the run about 100 times more straight forward. Get rid of the balls down table, and use the 2 or the 4 to get uptable for position on the 9.

I don't see what you guys see in the 5-ball. It doesn't line up with the rack. The 9 does, but only if you can place the cueball precisely.
