Run This (60)

7,4,8,6,2,9 for the key, and 1 for the break.

To me, that 9 is just to much of a pain in the ass to get the right angle to use it as a break shot.

I'd rather use the 1 which i know i can get a good angle for and take my chances.

6,8,7,1,4,2, and the 9 as the break.

I dislike the 9 and the 1 for breaks but i choose the 9 as the better ball. To many times I have stuck to the bottom of the rack or missed the corner of the stack.

I guess getting a good angle on the 7 in the side isn't bad either but it might be to risky.

7,4,1,8,6,2

Only key is, on the 4, to make sure to follow pretty far for the 1. Less angle is much better than too much angle, because you want to draw the 1 two rails for the 8 in the upper side.

The only "brute force" part of the run is from the 6 to the 2, but there will be several ways to get on it. You just have to move the cueball a bit.

Not sure what some people mean when they say they don't like the 9? It's laying pretty well for a topspin breakshot.

Just spoke to Danny - he has the answer lol.

7-4-8-6-1-2. This is as good as it's going to get, methinks.

Mine would be
7 in side
4 in lower left corner
1 top left corner
2 top right corner
9 top left corner 8 in side and breakout

I think veilside's and Danny(?)'s solution is the most elegant. I don't see a problem with the 9-ball break shot as a couple others do. The 2-ball is a nice key ball with a few ways to get to it.
I'm having mouse trouble, which is frustrating cuetable-wise, so no layout, but a possible alternate solution would be 7,4,1,2,8,6 draw back for the 9 break.
