Ruslan's fargorate after World Pool Series

Ruslan seems to have upset several players in the first World Pool Series 8 ball tournament. Can we compare his fargorate before and after? I see it is currently 781 and #49 on the list, but I "believe" this is old data?

To Mike: Is there any way to add trends on the fargorate list? I know you post them sometimes here on AZ after a tournament. Anyway to add a running weekly or monthly change in position on the main fargorate page?

Also to Mike: How will you handle the hill-hill match data from this tournament? Will you enter it as a 13-13 tie? Or will you count the shootout somehow as a game (or several games if the shootout was won by several points)?

I believe Ruslan's pre-tournament fargo was 779.

I had looked it up and made a post stating his fargo is very underrated.

and again one of those "unknown" and "underrated" euros travell over there to take a worldclassfield down....... wonder why its never one of those "correctly rated" US players (SVB excluded ofc)?
guess aslong as theres no worldwide protour (and we know that wont happen soon) where all the topplayers compete regulary we are not able to make a proper worldranking! fargo as it is now is only a list of 100 very good players, the rankings in some spots are just hilarious tho!
(and yeah bleiber, im still on my mission  )

The only thing that's hilarious is your constant misconception that a player's rating is determined by anything other than the matches they play.

You probably are too smart to learn but I would like to educate you to the fact that fargorate only enters data. If there is no data,or a small sample of data, the fargorate # may not be accurate. More data is entered everyday so the #'s will become more accurate for "active " players from fargorate appliable events.
If you cant comprehend this, please dont post anymore on the subject:wink:

lol i fully understand the concept........i only question if its the right method to only rate players with rack differences without regarding in what situation the player is.....and including barboxes to a worldranking is a joke! which is visible in the results!
and btw aslong as im not banned here, i post whatever i want...... and i doubt a fargorant will ban me!
have a nice day!

From what I read on here before the tournament, it was only Darren's friends

that showed up to play. But it sure looked to me like lots of world class players.

I hope Darren has great support and success with this !

Ruslan is very under rated. Great player

You think pool is bad, look at football. Dallas was favored by 4 points over Green Bay and Dallas lost by 3 points, THATS A 7 POINT SWING!!! They really need to check whomever it is that does the line on football games, I just can not believe in this day and age that a lower rated team could beat a higher rated team. What is the world coming to????:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Chinakov is and has been soundly rated. As you can see for the last three US player he played (Shuff, Strickland, and Deuel), he has a close to even record of 29 wins, 33 losses.

Europeans generally are soundly rated generally and soundly rated relative to US players. We have fewer sources of games for Asian players, so it is more likely to find a good Asian player who doesn't travel and is off our radar.

lololLOL only im sure whoever rates the NFL teams includes the situation the teams are in and im sure they dont include arena football to the ratings lol
and btw u didnt need a magic glassball to see the cowboys losing here.......atleast i won my bet on the packers!

again, i never doubt if the data is correct, i only think its the wrong method to rate players without knowing a better one! just look at the top 100 worldwide and tell me honestly that you buy your own rankings?

If there's a disconnect between a mathematical method and a "just look" method, I know which of the two I'm going to think is wrong.

They don't include arena football because the NFL doesnt play arena football.

Same reason Fargo Rate doesnt include one pocket or 14.1

779 is very good. There are only a couple guys over 800.
He can beat anybody on any given day, how is he underrated?
