In My Opinion:
It makes a huge difference in the extreme English shots. You can get so close to the edge of the cue ball.

being asked about Magic Chalk several times, I got curious. I just found this thread through a search, I would have replied earlier.
I was suspicious about its origin before, since there has never been such chalk brand on local market. As usual with such things, my guess was it was made in China.
Now, having seen this picture I can definitely say it comes from China. Because the "Russian" script is as close to Russian as Engrish to English. First string is pretty okay, it says "Magic Chalk" in Russian with no errors. But the second one says smth like "Russia is made", or "Russia done" - with terrible mistake in terms of language.

So, Russian Magic Chalk is not that Russian. But it's not so bad Russia is associated with something that works good (hope it really does).
