Ryan's cue nearing completion

Eric to answer your questions no I am not a cuemaker, and no I am not Jim Baxter. Are you Jim Lee? His post was directed to him, nobody else. Don't overly read into my post as you knocking him, I just said to do your research on this first.

I can't speak for Jim Baxter in regards to your response so if he wants respond to you he can. I can tell you that even though I am not a cuemaker I have a business degree and about 9 years in sales in the HVAC business for commercial so I can absolutely relate to deadlines, ship dates, and customer service/communication. No one here is probing about what the problem is and I agree it is nobody's business at all. At this time I will not get into my friends situation unless he emails me saying it is ok, or posts on here saying to go ahead (and trust me I am ready with emails etc).

I never once said he is a crook or scammer. Point to a post of mine that says this? While I do agree sometimes the mob gets quick to judge, and sometimes only receives one side of the story I am fairly confident on my gut feeling on this one.

As for your comment on you will get your cue when "Im able"...that's fine too but give me back my deposit (if I gave you one for an order) and I will look elsewhere for a cue instead of wasting my time and your time. I will look for someone that doesn't have that attitude. It won't hurt your feelings, and it won't hurt mine. I know that deadlines are estimates, and shit happens etc... Let me ask you this. When someone says 4-6 months and your cue will be done and you find out it has been 17 months with 0 pictures, but repeated delays/lies what would you think? If I or anyone has multiple cues, then not a big deal...but if it is a first custom cue experience from someone who loves the game, plays in league, and is excited on getting their first custom cue...well you get the picture.

i think the main point here is like a silent code that in these instances other cue makers shouldnt jump on each other because one day it could be yourself in that situation i do not know jim lees deal and dont know him, but i wouldnt put heat on the man, like eric said id let the customers people who actually have money invested apply the heat not the peanut gallery, and certainly not other CM's

Like I said, I'm not taking up for Lee, nor arguing with anybody in the thread. I was explaining to Baxter that if it hasn't already happened, then he WILL be in a situation that's beyond his control & he'll get mobbed just like Lee is right now, so it would be wise of him to not fuel the flame. I don't care who's right or wrong, who screwed who, what's going on. That has nothing at all to do with my post. I don't even care what the outcome of the situation is or whether Lee does anything to correct it or not. None of that is my concern. My point was directed AND ADDRESSED to Baxter, which was basically a note telling him to tread carefully because eventually it'll be him in that situation. My mistake was even trying to explain it in my second post, because there's always somebody who wants to pick things apart & argue instead of just realizing the purpose of the post. And given that Baxter is so adamant about keeping Lee under the bus on the PUBLIC forum, that's where I posted my comment to him. There's nothing to talk about with anybody else. If yall got screwed then you got screwed. It's up to you to make a fuss, not the place of an uninvolved cue maker. He should know better. If he doesn't now, then he'll figure out real quick when it happens to him. What is there really to argue about?

^ This couldn't have been done in a Private Message?

For what reason should it have been done in a private message? This entire thread is a public lynch mob inquisition of the cue maker. One of his peers is trying to PUBLICLY lead the charge. So when I chime in to advise that peer that he should maybe think twice about his agenda, because at some point it'll be him under fire, then it's supposed to be private? Really? I'm not for double standards. Yall go ahead & wear yourselves out with your public display of mobbing. I made my point.

Trent, I understand exactly what you are saying. I would personally have almost 0 interest in this if it wasn't for it being one of my best friends who is involved. I have been involved from day one on this cue from him designing it to everything else. He doesn't post on here almost at all so he wants me to put some input on it (while holding back for now).

I am assuming this is a response to me. If it isn't let me know. I am not trying to pick apart what you put, just letting you know the side of the coin I am on and why I even give a rats about this thread. There are multiple people involved in this situation so it isn't just a few people that have interest in it. I am sure all will be revealed shortly.

To all and every one,

Not much to reveal spimp, I am very behind and am working every day to fix that. I don't hide, not telling lies, I missed a ton of deadlines, and have folks that have pre paid for cues or cue related repairs from me that are still owed.
Did I miss anything? Playing catch up on a few cues is easy for some folks, but I have a lot more than just a few to catch up on, I admit it. But when ur one man fighting uphill and are very behind, please spimp, with all your vast knowledge you seem to have, explain how I do it all overnight?
To all that have items owed, I am in the shop everyday, all ur items are being worked on , non have been sold, traded, or are missing, I am making headway slowly, but am finally headed in that direction.
You will all receive everything owed or promised, I am just man enough to say I am down and behind badly, both work and money wise. I am in a huge hole but I am clawing my way out, as a few of you already know because you have already received your items that were owed.
Thanx again, now please continue on if needed,
Jim Lee

Your sarcasm won't work with me on my "vast knowledge". Let me ask you this regardless if you are behind for whatever reason which is none of my business or even your customers business, how come you send lies in your emails? How come no pictures to prove a cue exists or is in the works? With your "vast knowledge" I am curious on this answer.

Edit....to note I have not once called you a thief or scammer as a disclosure even in the other thread.

The lies you say are deadlines I miss, shipping dates I miss, and such. So if these are what you speak of , yes sir, I lied.
I can't spend all my time photoing every step of every turn I take on cues. I used to try to do this to please the masses, and it ate up a ton of my time, taking them, loading them, cropping them, sizing them, well , I think you get the point. So I stopped and took examples from others and do not do this much at all any more.
Many good cuemakers do not, so I changed the way I do things. The final result will verify my work.
I make no excuses any more, I am behind and owe, bottom line. I can't make every one happy instantly, but am working on making everything right with each person one day at a time. Once I am all caught up, I have a plan in mind that will never let me get in this hole again. I take full blame ! And I hate the feeling of owing, and know I am wrong by being behind. All I can do at this point is pick myself up, dust myself off, and take the challenge ahead head on.
And that is exactly what I am doin. I am not the kind of person to dump any of my personal life here, it's my burden , no matter the reasons, I accept that !

Fair enough...when you tell him you are finishing up your last batch within the next two weeks, all pieces are cut and ready for assembly and his will then be done shortly...back in January I have a problem with that. I agree, pictures are time consuming and no reason at all to do it that much....but not 1 picture at all was sent, just delay, delay, almost done, delay, etc. Put yourself in his shoes for his first custom cue experience with no other cues to fall back on outside of his old beater he wants to get rid of.

I think that in this situation the only exit way is:

0- dont accept new orders from new clients.
1- refund the money to some clients and reduced the quantity of cues in order.
2- complete the two cues posted in the az gallery and post the finishid photos for make a proof that you work on some cues!
3- when you have complete some cue and you are return in the normal completition time you recontact the old clients and ask if they restart the work with you.

I speak because i have one cue on order.

My sensation about jim is good and i think that probably something is going bad but in this situation he must demonstrate that there is a way out with some trial and not just with words.

so many things go wrong in the lives of all but when they involve the lives of other people, things change.

Jim if you can give a proof that you're adjusting things and everything will be okay. Here at azbill we are all united by a passion and if anyone has any problem we can understand.

Sorry for my english guys...
Ale

I have no doubt that Jim's cues don't play solid. I have not heard a bad thing about his cue's playing ability/cosmetic looks when in the hands of customers. It is in the hands of my buddy who has the cue overdue with Jim. I will relay this thread to him for him to decide. Thanks for chiming in.
