I'm trying to expand my group of pool buddies. I have 2 friends I shoot with on a regular basis, and a group of acquaintances at both the spots I shoot at, but nothing like my 2 best shooting buds. Anyone in Sacramento want to hit the pool hall with me?

I usually play at Sharky's and I'm maybe a C- to a C player when I'm on my game. But if you're an A, I'm still down. We all know that little saying about playing better players to be better. Also, if you play at other pool halls regularly (Jointed Cue, TC's, 6 Pocket, Diamond, Hard Times) I'm even more inclined. I dunno what it is, but other than my regular spot, I don't like to go to other pool rooms by myself.

Let me know! I'd love to meet some fellow Sacramento AZB'rs!
 
Tom In Cincy runs the tournaments at Hard Times, and is a great guy to know...loves to play, and plays well!

Hi Formula;

Hard Times is your place.

Toms tournaments are great. For you, come in on Tuesday evening for the line 8 ball, $5.00 everyone plays till around 10:00. It fills up every time so come early. Alot of local league players come in to play the 8 ball. On Wednesday, there is a B nine ball tournament. Lots of players your speed or close. You can meet a number of people at each of these tournaments. Lots of regulars.

Every day in the late afternoon there are a number of regulars that play in the tournament room and anyone is welcome. Players of all speeds come in then, and there is usually some action available if your interested.

I'm an A player, so I am usually not there on those days or I would be happy to introduce you to some of the players. Tom will take good care of you though. However there are other weekly and monthly open tournaments that you may be interested in attending, even if only to watch.
