Maybe something close to that. :o

I agree with Tanner here...although I would hit it a bit harder leaving the cueball on the endrail.

A little risky with the corner pocket right there and when you hit the 1 ball, the 2 ball will movie towards the top rail. It might work if you can hit it thin enough. ;)

Yeah i got the picture...

Please post more ideas on how to play that shot, thanks.

I would probably go for this shot. Try to draw the cueball behind the 8. Even if I don't get behind the 8, the cueball should be on or pretty close to the rail, leaving my opponent in a real tough spot. The only thing I would worry about is the 2 going caroming off the 6 into the corner pocket.

Even though some bad things can happen with the two ball because this shot has to be hit with some pace, I like this choice against a very strong player, but against anyone else, I'll play passive defense by thinning the left edge of the one, using outside english to park the cue ball on the top rail. I figure I have a 50/50 shot of winning the rack after that.

But im not really good when it comes to thin slice and stuff...

Any other suggestions? Cmon i wanna hear from the experienced one..

PS : You guys who posted are experience too

That makes a ton of sense. I think that is one of my biggest problems, is sometimes I focus too much on the table situation instead of how good my opponent plays and what his weaknesses/strengths are. Sometimes I don't see shots that are much more simple that would allow me to play against my opponent rather than going for a lower percentage shot.
