Sale section dead

Guys -

I hate that you have got screwed over. I agree that the "FOR SALE" section has really got screwed up. IMO, too much *****ing by folks who had nothing to do but *****.

I don't have much for sale, but my feedback is 100% here and 100% on ebay. I recommend dealing with folks that have some history behind them.

Secondly, if the seller will not offer money (or trade) back guarantee (less shipping), I wouldn't deal with them either.

I have probably sold 100 cues on AZ, now I don't even go on there.

Pretty sad.

I wish the best of rolls to everyone.

Okay, so how do I build history if nobody will sell to me, I've done deals with many AZB members but I've found the deals on Facebook and I've ONLY had one person warn me about my tactics. However, I asked him about his cues for sale an he took several weeks to reply so I started spending my money with people who'd reply to me within a day or so. Not two to three weeks.

I'm just asking for advice here, I'm not trying to be a smartass or be an instigator, but you gotta see my side of this. I've barely been a member here.

And with no or very limited buy an selling history that was done on other places, it's very hard for me to say, yes I've been here 1 month I won't rip you off.

Excellent idea...
That's fine, I'll never buy another cue from an AZB member. Than, I use The tapatalk app. You know how to become a member using the app.

You guys with your laptops think only of you an the standup computers.

You have very little knowledge about how many members are on Smartphones.

This Just In

In case you didn't notice:

OK, we had someone code a modification to hopefully help with the bump issues.

First off. We have turned back on the ability to reply to threads. However, replying to a thread will not bump it. (Or at least it shouldn't bump it)

After 48 hours, the original poster of a thread can go to the "thread tools" menu at the top of his thread and click on "bump". That should move the message to the top without needing to actually reply to the message.

Please understand that WE ARE TESTING THIS. If it works, then we will stick with it. It is not the end of the world. It is just something we are testing to try to resolve the bump issues here.

It's working and I like it!

FORUM NOT ALL BLAME. TAKE IN CONSIDERATION OF THE STATE OF OUR ECONOMY IS AND SOCIALISM AT ALL TIME HIGH IN USA. END RESULT LESS MONEY IN WALLETS. POOL IS A PRIVATE SECTOR BUSINESS ALONG WITH ALL OTHERS DRYING UP AS WELL CALLING IT QUITS!

I see no difference

There is a difference. People can now comment on your post without the post being bumped to the top. Otherwise, all the friends of so many dealers here (I think they used to just bump each others thread) can comment on a post without the post being bumped to the top.
Now there is a "Bump" button in seller tools that allows you to bump the thread to the top every 48 hours without having to type the minimum 10 words!
I see these as improvements!

I've been thinking of given a custom cue a try so I've been perusing the FS forum and I agree with the sentiment of this thread. The FS section of this forum is atrocious. Private sales with terrible grammar and spelling and strong language and absurd sale requirements are expected and common on FS forums. But there are a lot of dealers/retailers whose posts are pretty terrible too. Few observations:

* Spell the custom cue maker's name correctly (Keith Josey, not Keith Kosey).
* Paypal fees are 2.9%+$0.30 (or less if you have a high volume business account). I'm not sure why listing 4% for paypal fees is so common other than to urge you to send as a gift (so there is no recourse if your opinion of taper roll is different than the seller's :) ). I can possibly understand for foreign transaction fees but these sellers are in the US.
* For sale for $1000 or trade value of $1300....need I say more?
* Antics like bumping a thread with comments like "Received all 20 offers, thanks for the interest. Bump." and then 10 bumps later dropping the price by 20% (clearly the first post was a blatant lie to spur someone to make an offer).

Sale Section is dead!

I for one so far have not had any issues. Bought 2 cues so far from reputable people and have received exactly what I paid for, hell even got some good deals.

I feel for the people that have been ripped off. I hate to hear that and it is
sad that people do that kind of stuff.

If it helps, the people that I have dealt with (billiardbills, itzel0101, and cuesblues) have been very professional and did what it took to make me feel comfortable about the sale.

Hope this helps in restoring some faith into the W/FS section.

I just think ppl aren't jumping on higher end cues. I'm seeing deals I would jump all over if some life events weren't going on. Heck even with the bad times I'm still thinking of getting one just because you just don't see this maker up for sale.

Check the seller and things should go well

Tell you the truth, I feel like it's much livelier since the most recent change.

Buyer

I have been a AZ member and started to scan the FS section daily for 2 years so to our many Vet's I am a green newb here. But I am not green, I have green.

My personal opinion is the FS section is pretty stale with the same dealers, flippers and cues being bumped & churned for literally months, and months :boring2:

I thinned and am now looking to spend and am having a difficult time pulling the trigger on anything up. Either seller asking what I consider too much or cues that have been passed back and forth since I have been here.

Not sure what is going on but the FS section is pretty boring these days. And please, my box is always close to full and I do not have any real budget.

Just my 2c. Have a good evening.

I prefer AZ billiards, I hope the moderators care enough to get all sections of this forum back on track.

A separate section in the main forum area exclusively for threads complaining about the classifieds seems like a perfect solution.
