CueTable Help

So sometimes I think I'm just a big dummy about certain shots. Here's a shot that I know I will try much too hard on to get shape from the 1 to the 2.

To me, it's a three-cushion shot to get back up to the 2. Top left english? Medium speed? For me, I just know that I'll try to pound the 1 into the pocket.

Pockets are tight on my table where this shot currently resides. If I was down on the sloppy pockets at the local pool hall right now, I know I'm getting shape on the 2 easy -- however, maybe just by bad habit or poor fundamentals.

yea, I would pound it with about a 10 oclock cue ball, but the problem I find is I will get straight on the 2 more often then not. Sounds silly, but it happens a lot!

I see two ways...

Juice it hard with inside english... (probable outcome is you head into that cluster of balls)

The other is kind of a feel shot.

You hit just enough follow to get to the end rail and a buch of running english to basically throw it two rails around the table. The problem with this shot is hitting just the right amount of follow so you get deep into the bottom of the end rail but also avoid the scratch into the lower corner.

If you hit it right, the CB hits the end rail about the first diamond above the lower corner pocket and then picks up speed into the second rail and the now steepened angle shoots the CB above the cluster and down table past the side pocket into the third rail.

With BHE it does not seem to be that hard a shot to me... and does not require anything but a smooth stroke (to get the juice)

high left is the shot I would choose... going three rails. I don't see any other natural route.

Move the tip closer to outside edge and let the spin take it... easier to judge aiming. This doesn't have to be hit hard. I tried the shot and used the same stroke hitting a lag. The ball hit the 3 rail and came out 1 diamond on the lag attempt. You can find the CB path much easier and judge shape. Try this shot trying to get the CB to middle. You will see how easy the ball can be hit.

Practiced it about 10 times or so. Yep, smooth stroke with high left carries it to the right spot. Tension doesn't ruin my pool game as much as my golf game, but I've got to watch that grip sometimes.

I like top inside on this one particular shot because the cut isnt as sharp as I would like to go 3 rails.
