I need a set of finishing sanding arbors for 3/8 10 pin with .842 as the finish size but Im not about to pay 700 bucks for them. Isnt there anyone who makes a quality sanding arbor for a more reasonable price. I can buy the blanks for 65.00 each so where is the expense. I know grinding is expensive. Shop time and set up maybe 100.00 and the brass insert fitting. Gotta be somebody who makes them that is more reasonable. Any suggestions will be appreciates and thanks.

I don't know where you would buy the blanks, but I tried to make some sanding mandrels and I bought what I thought was good carbide and it turned out to be junk. I made a few sets that I thought were perfect, but the carbide was soft. I had a set ground to.840 and after a few cues, they were at .836. Needless to say, I quit making them. For what they cost, its a good price. You get what you pay for.

Mandrells can get expensive, it is hazardous work.
