Sanding Mandrels

Bassel- You know, for a second there, it sounded like you were threatening me and saying you would not refund me if I did not provide you a tracking number by tomorrow. That's not what you're saying, is it? I'm asking you right now. Simple language. Is that what you are saying?
After I waited for months?
I'd like everyone to hear this right here on the forum. I'm detecting a bad odor.

I think your tone speaks for itself this time just as it has in the past.

You have failed to provide a good product. The price was never the issue.

These mandrels were available elsewhere but I decided to give you a try since you were the new guy. I love diversity; it seemed like the right thing to do.

You said from the get-go you were selling tapered mandrels. You said you had solicited and received the opinion of other cuemakers that tapered mandrels were the way to go and that's what you were going to do. You failed to do this. You can't go back on your word like this just because you don't think the taper is needed. You advertised one thing and (finally) delivered another.

Nor can you site concentricity, or any other single attribute as the only one that matters. You can't just blow by the very poor build quality of this product. You admit that you don't know why mine was not smooth like all the others you sent out? Look, I care about the one I received, not what you sent others. Smooth is obviously what we want here, I mean, that's the whole point!!

No mention of the large chip out of the face of the mandrel? You can't be serious.

Now then, which part of what I said is gossip? Everything I said is true! I think you have embarrassed yourself by your own words and actions. No one else is to blame.

Please don't speculate again, you will get your money back, I have no intentions of keeping your money, I just want this deal over with. It's really ironic and was a poor judgement on
My behalf to ship the set to you, when I gave it to the machinist at .854" for a final grind it was perfect, I don't know why it turned out that way, and for the record, it was the only set that looked like that

For you to jump on AZ so thrilled to post how terrible my mandrels are, with out even contacting me for an explanation, clearly your only intension is to hurt my business, and you are still doing it even after I stated that I would refund your money, you had to twist it around and say I am threatening you. I just want the set back, I will have my guy fine grind it down to .848 or less and sell it to the next person in line, cause I know that it was done right except for the last finishing part.
Sorry it had to be your set, I guess its my luck to have to redo couple of sets, but at the end of the day, I always make it right, even if I end up loosing on the deal, that one thing, no body can take away from me.
Regards

good news!

Bassel- It's good to hear that you intend to refund me. Why don't re-read that part of your post and tell me what it sounds like.
Bassel, I don't jump to conclusions, but I believe my eyes. What you sent me was completely unacceptable and you knew it when you put it in the mail to me. Why you would ship something like what you sent me I'll never know. It looks nothing remotely like the one you pictured. You even say you don't know why it didn't turn out like the others. You knew!
See, what really puts the frost on the pumpkin is when you fall back on "Well, I always make it right in the end." Perhaps it would be better to make it right in the beginning?
I'll send back your creation as soon as I have time.

Edit: Bassel, why on Earth should I have to contact you for an "explanation"? I think the situation explained itself well enough: the mandrels didn't come out right but you sent them anyway. Clear enough.

Edit: "It all came out fine except the last finishing part." So it's OK? Are you serious? I can't believe you said that!

If the set you sent Robin didn't have the smooth round finish that the others did, then you should have held the machinist accountable. It sounds like you hoped the explanation of "they'll still do the job" would fly.

I would have been upset as well.

I was there when Joe unpacked his "lathe" from Bassel. I am a retired tool maker and I advised Joe to send it back ASAP.

First of all, I told you and posadas numerous of times that the mandrels will not be tapered, tapering 3/4" carbide sleeve will only change the diameter by 0.003"-0.004" and will make absolutely no difference.
