Was down there today, had a great time, really glad I drove down. Such a great atmosphere, players just walking around talking to people, was sitting on a bench and I looked to the right and Blomdahl and Caudron were sitting there talking. I smoked a cigarette out front with Roland Forthomme. Sayginer and Tasdemir were practicing a Turkish song out front for some reason. Saw two really great games - Cho Vs. Ceulemans. One of the fastest games I've ever seen, don't know what his average was, but Cho ran like 14, miss, 5, 7, etc. something, like a twenty minute game to 40. I think the score was like 40-18, C never got to 20. Ceulemans was laughing when he was taking his tie off, said in my direction, "No pity for the old guy?" or something. That match was done, went in back to watch the Tasdemir-Horn match that started at the same time, score was like 22-20, very slow and dull match, but Horn took it, lasted forever, nobody could put a run together. Last game on the TV table was Blomdahl vs. Kang. Absolutely Brutal. Blomdahl took it 50-18 in I think 20-21 innings. Kang's average was about .8. Blomdahl ran an easy 10 or 11 the first inning, and Kang never recovered, and Kang never got more than 3, I believe. Blomdahl pulled off some wicked 3 rail first shots, really impressive. Kang did some good ones, too, but never had a chance. Blomdahl missed a couple times, but ran a 7 then a 6, I think, don't quote me on the specifics, but that's the gist of it.

The Kang/ Blomdahl match was Dong Kang not Michael.

Nice pics. Whoever took the Tasdemir-Horn pics was pretty much right over my shoulder in the stands, with Blomdahl all casual in the crowd. The Blomdahl-Kang match too, a couple feet to the right of me past the camera.
The younger guy with the glasses, maroon vest, right after that, not sure of his name, was playing during the Ceuelemans-Cho match, he might have played Patino?, not alot of people watching, ran a couple of really nice precise shots, if I had a pad I'd have jotted them down, don't remember now but he played some very tricky shots perfectly.
Next year I'm going to get a hotel for two nights and just stay the whole weekend, it's a great scene, the players just walk around with everyone, and if you want to see a specific match you just walk up and sit down three feet away. Can't imagine any other game where you have the best players in the world and you're sitting right behind their chair.

TV table

Somebody clue me in on the matches held on the TV Table in the back with all the cameras - who 'owns' those matches? I still haven't seen the Blomdahl-Caudron final from last year. It's all nicely filmed but I haven't seen any yet.

eze123 - This what Raiford post earlier on the TV Table.

Sayginer has been featured in matches every year that he participates. Since Jan can only tape one match per round and there are so many good players competing, it's not so easy to decide which game to record. Also, High Rock Productions has a TV table in the back with a professional ESPN film crew that has first choice when it comes to recording games. Semih's games are frequently on the back TV table and therefore unavailable for recording by CaromTV. There is a possibility that some of that footage will be released through CaromTV in the future (and therefore VOD) but I'm not sure when that might happen.

Maybe after Raiford get rested up, maybe he will let us Know.

As for the 2007 video you're asking about - maybe you should email Jan Carl and ask Him or High Rock Production.
