Sarah a Champion?

Sarah,

It has been and continues to be a pleasure reading your posts. I look forward to you continuing words of encouragement to members of this forum. I do not need to tell you to keep focused or anything like that. Especially in a game of pool.

Your mannerism speaks volumes of the way you were raised and the life experiences you have encountered.

Earlier, it was mentioned that a person wishes that they were as together as you are at your age. Tap, Tap, Tap!!!

Keep up the hard work. I have definitely joined the ranks of those who will be cheering you on as you continue your progress (as if I wasn't already doing that).

All the Best, Jerry

Jake, I am glad I could pass your test.

Jason, you raise some good points. I appreciate the suggestions. I have gone to college. I still have two years to finish. I finished the first to years concentrating on a general business degree. Will I go back? Yes, I will. I am right now thinking of enrolling in some online classes through a nearby college.

You are also right about the money. In 2001 I only played in one tournament that is why the earnings were so low. I was still in college. 2002 was my first year trying to play in pro tournaments. I didn't play in all of them. 2003 was a bit of a transition year. I was starting to get used to the atmosphere. 2004 has started out much better; 20th at the Derby City and 5th at the Delta Classic. My winnings are higher than what is posted right now. I hope that this year will be a big year.

As for my five year plan, I don't mind sharing. This was something I thought long and hard about when I presented my parents the idea of being a professional pool player. My goal for the first year, 2002, was to get through the qualifying system. I accomplished that goal. My goal for 2003 was to reach my pro status and to be ranked in the top 32. I was ranked 33rd at the end of 2002 and soon got my pro status and moved into the top 32. My goal for this year is to be ranked in the top 16, if not the top 10. After that I would like to continue to rise in the ranks. My main goal is to try to make an impact on the game of pool, playing and not playing. I think the image of pool can be changed and I would like to help that effort. If I cannot accomplish those goals I will go back to school and do whatever else I am destined to do.

Jerry, thank you for your support. I really appreciate it. I have to thank my parents for the way I have turned out. I hope to continue to encourage and help others.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. It is very uplifting to realize that I have made an impact on so many people and that so many people are kind enough to encourage me. Thank you.

Sarah

I see you were mentioned favorably in the recent Billiards Digest as one of the young woman knocking at the door of the upper echelons of pool. Good for you and I wish you the best.

Thank you dmg. I was so close last tournament. Hopefully I can do it again this week in San Diego.

Take care,
Sarah

...and in Inside Pool

Listed among the hottest rising stars in the game in the latest issue of Inside Pool. Gotta be happy with that!

Keep on shootin' Sarah.

Raistlin,

Thank you. The Inside Pool spread was pretty cool for all of the players. I like what they did. Hopefully sometime soon they will be talking about me winning some tournaments :)

Thanks again,
Sarah
