Sardo 5000???

people really use them outside of made for tv tournaments?
I ordered through Billiard Club early last week. They stated they are on backorder from the factory and Billiard Club is the first on the list to recieve them. Last week they were assuming them to ship this week, but then I got the email saying they were backordered, so I have no idea when they will be shipping now, hopefully still this week

I called Billiard Club today. Previously I had an order in with Pool Fool. I cancelled it (they'd charged my card already, which is not legal if I understand things right) and placed one with BCN (which has sardorack.com). They said similar things to what's been said above: they should have shipped last week, but now they're saying next week they'll ship out. My table won't be here until the end of the month, so I'm not too worried about it.
The Pool Fool person I spoke with said that thet first batch was faulty and rather than send them to customers they took them back and are re-making them. So maybe that's a lie or maybe it explains yet another delay.
Anyway, there have been some heated debates on here about how "damaging" the racks are. The 5000, from the pictures, does not seem at all like something that can damage things much.

I mailed sardo with the question, how much would the shipping costs to europe be. They said 50 bucks, just for shipping. I said no thanks.
50 for shipping to Europe isnt to bad. Look at it this way. 50 for shipping and 60 for the rack is still cheaper then the Sardo 3000 by itselfDouble-Dave said:

I think I already said this somewhere else, but I am going to wait for the IPT version.

The 5000 is the IPT version, if you look at the points on it, it has the IPT logo right there.
Anyway... it seems they are still on backorder...

The Chameleon rack is a multi-function rack that can rack 9-ball, 15 balls, or 10-balls. The features on it allow the user to push and squeeze the balls together rather than use your hands. I don't know how well it does at having the balls remain frozen together as there doesn't seem to be any provisions for that, especially in the pyramid rack configurations.

I called BCN yesterday and they said that the racks should ship to customers early next week. So, by the end of next week some people should have them, and then early the next week (week of February 6) others should get theirs.
Of course, those of us who have ordered them have heard "next week" a few times now.

I saw an advertisment on BCn stating the racks were in but I got no email regarding if they were going to ship today or not.
Just spoke with the guy at BCn. He stated they talked with the factory and it is getting pushed back again to next week for them expecting them to arrive their and then they will be shipped out.
WTF is so hard about making and shipping a product that it's delayed for months? It's a few pieces of plastic from a company that's built more complex versions of these before...Icon of Sin said:

I called moments before you posted, and I was told the same thing. I'm kinda bummed that they haven't upgraded the shipping from UPS Ground free of charge for us having to wait (doing so would seal the deal with me as a customer - I'd appreciate it tremendously and it'd show "good faith" on their part), so as it stands now we'll still wait another week after they ship just to get them.Icon of Sin said:
