This jig is great for tapering shafts. Mounts onto your table saw with one bolt, so you can take it off and on quick and easy. I used it to taper shafts and turn all my butt squares round. No need to band saw off any corners. It goes through them like butter. Works great with an 80 tooth blade, maybe even better with 100 but I never tried. It cuts extremely smooth if you have the teeth on your blade ground flat. The two bolts near the motor are the adjustments for your two tapers. You could probably do butts on it too but I had it where I wanted it for shafts and never tried.

$650 + shipping(est. $40-$50). I would also consider trading for a little panto of some kind, cueman or unique, etc.

Tapering

I've had a few questions about tapering capabilities. It does not just do a cone taper, single profile or what ever. There are two bolts. One adjusts the main taper from the tip, then there is another that adjust the second part of your taper to the joint. Let me know if you have any other questions.

saw machine

I can spring about $400 together at this time. Would you be interested?? I know it may seem low but it's the best I can do right now.

Joe Childs built this for me a while back. He is a great guy and taught me quite a bit to get me going. I haven't heard from him in a long time. Anyone know how he is doing?
