This coming Thursday, I'm looking forward to testing myself in the amateur open. Afterwards check out the case makers like John Barton, and Jack Justis. Maybe bump into some friends, and watch a couple of matches.

Last year I brought my camera with me, and took some pictures. The event is very photo friendly. I may do the same again.

pretty sure to help keep costs down this year they'll be sharing a booth. :eek: :D

Unfortunately the pro's are not being covered for this event. POV Pool has been contracted by TAP League, LLC to cover the action for the "Rally In The Valley" event.

I will try to find some downtime and do some 'on cameras' with the pros, for later release on my YouTube Channel. I'm pretty sure there will be a ton of brackets being posted on these forums. I can also try to give you some 'live' updates on the TAP Stream between matches.

Thanks to all! I'm very excited to be going to SBE! Thanks to TAP, Kamui, RunOut Apps and McDermott Cues!

Best of luck with this. I don't recall too many hotties tearing up the tables the past several years. At least none that were single.
 
I wish I lived closer...14 hour drive is just too much and even still, I considered ditching work on Friday and making the drive anyway. Never been to a big event like this and would love to be able to check out all the cue makers and cues and watch some of the pro matches.

Looking forward to robbing people I dont know. Wishing that the action is easy, last year it was pretty slow. So empty out you 401ks and bring it.

Hope the killer storm doesnt mess up peoples travel plans.
 
I look forward to seeing Earl Sticklin! I want to see what he's going to do and hear what he's going to say.


I also like to take all the junk cues and shafts I've been buying all year and get replacements. Warped shafts, cracked shafts, dings in brand new cues, saw dust in the sleeve along with a warped butt and shaft. Yeah...big name production cue companies selling junk.

A lot easier to get satisfaction in person rather than talking on the phone or sending useless emails.
 
Personally I'm looking forward to playing in my first SBE. Hoping to win a set, if not, at least a game. I've only played 9-ball for about 8 months in the APA so some lucky person will have a fortunate draw. Should be fun either way.

Also picking up a new Lomax J/B and a new JB Ultimate Rugged case.

Want to see as much of the pro events as I can, including the 3 cushion event. Maybe get find an instructor to show me the basics of 3 cushion.

Should be a good weekend.

We're looking forward to seeing the largest TAP tournament ever held this weekend. Its always great seeing the TAP staff again and watching them come together and run the best amateur league events in the country. Looking forward to TAP X and the highly anticipated Pool-net updates. Looking forward to seeing network TV crews exposing pros, amateurs and the game we love. Looking forward to seeing POV and all the great things Daniel is doing for pool, Looking forward to seeing kids who will run you over in their sleep. Looking forward to midnight action and minis. Looking forward to watching pool have its biggest year in nearly a decade. Looking forward to thanking Allen Hopkins for best show on the planet.

Yeah...and I'd love to see TAP League go by the real handicaps and not by what the tournament module says....

I have a guess of what team will win or be at least in the final top ten.

Basically the same team as last year and same team as a few years ago too.:thumbup:

The tournament Module is used in all upper tournaments. If you dont agree with the rules? Don't play the event.

I'm not disagreeing with what appears to be a possible dynasty, however I would wait till the end of this weekend to confirm if those concerns are valid.

If you do play, please speak with Kelly Nace who is TAPs Events Director, she will have some information about these items that might answer a few questions for you as well.

Were getting on planes tonight, so well see you soon and Good Luck at this years SBE.:thumbup:
 
Looking forward to meeting Azb friends at the Expo. I haven't been too active in the forums due to work but I'm pretty sure I would see some familiar faces. I'll be wearing a Bill Murray tshirt so Im easy to spot

Its unfortunate though that I will only be there the whole day Thursday. oh well

Funny thing...last year Kelly's husband was on the winning team.
