SBE Allen really got greedy this year!

I kinda hope next year, Allen charges $100 for a day pass, just so these broke cheap ass crybaby mofos DONT GO.

Do everyone a favor and just stay home.

Nothing worse than broke cheap ass crybaby mofos bit*ching because Allen didn't give them a GOLDEN TICKET in some candy bar.
Get a grip already.

Defend....... Hint. U can't.

I can defend it. Let me spell out the facts real clear. A business owner has the right to charge whatever they want to. If he wants to charge $50,000 for general admission seating then it is none of your business. Period. Go, or don't go, but stop acting like you are somehow entitled to having business owners charge what you personally feel they should charge.

A customer has the absolute right to not do business with that business or any other business they choose.

If a business' prices are too high, one of two things generally happen: either that business will be forced to lower their prices due to a lack of customers, or competitors will move in with the same product at a cheaper price. In this particular case I don't see the number of SBE attendees going down dramatically year after year, nor do I see droves of competitors swooping in and putting on similar events but charging lower prices to take advantage of all that money they must be raking in with those outrageous margins and minimal risks. But even if their prices were too high from a market perspective, they still don't owe you "fair" prices.

A customer also has the right to voice their opinion to a business about their pricing or the perceived value of their product. In fact such feedback is usually welcomed by businesses. A customer even has a right to express that opinion to others or in a public forum such as this. But what they don't have a right to do, which is exactly where you and others have gone so horribly wrong, is to act like they are somehow entitled to a service at a price they have to approve of. Nobody is forcing you to do any business with them and your wallet is your true voice and vote.

You are not absolutely entitled to getting spectator seating at the price that is fair and reasonable in your mind so stop acting like you are. And newsflash--there isn't much in life that you are actually entitled to and owed outside of the right to breathe air and very few other things and I can say with absolute certainty that the right to watch pool at a certain price definitely isn't one of them.

From your posts it's clear to me that you aren't merely complaining about what you feel to be too high of a price. It goes beyond that and is more personal to you. You feel like you have been slighted. And you feel slighted because you feel entitled to and owed a certain level of pricing even though you are owed no such thing. Give that some honest thought.

Weak response. Honestly $120 might seem like chump change to you but to the next guy it might not be especially if one saved up as much as they could to make the trip.

Also not notifying people of the increases in viewing in advance is bush league at best but this is the pool business where such practices are to be expected.

Yeah, I guess Allen should have offer matinee prices like the movie theaters do, so you could go and enjoy the same show everyone gets to enjoy at the full evening prices.

My God, this is still a democracy, right?
Allen has every right to charge whatever he feels he needs to and everyone has the right to vote with their wallets if they think it's fair or not.
If you think it's unfair then don't pay. If enough people don't pay then he would probably see that maybe he needs to lower prices.
If enough people still pay then he knows it's fair and people are willing to spend the money on his product.
Not sure I understand why anyone would think otherwise?
Inflation is real. Prices go up. You don't like it then don't pay for it. Plain and simple.
