SBE back at Oaks?

Does the new location make that much of a difference in time if you're coming from Ft. Lauderdale? ;)

Eric

Given the choice to fly into Newark International Airport (with all those wonderful smells of the oil refineries, tire factories making tires, and Purina making dog chow in the evenings [peeee-yoooo!]), vs. Philadelphia International Airport, I think whatever time savings would be considered "moot" is easily made up for by a cleaner airport and destination city. ;)

Be careful, if the winds shift and blow from the SW, the aroma can reach Westchester Cty...

Still not official so we'll just pretend we don't know....:nanner:

Laurel Highlands TAP Pool Leagues

Super Billiard Expo Dates for 2015.

Yes, we are going back to King of Prussia
5 miles from the original hotel that is now a casino

From what I been told there will be carpeting and they built some hotels there since we were there last.

Where is the oaks?
"Philadelphia" LOL

And a 20 min. drive for meeeeeee!!!:D
But this year when I saw (around 1 AM that morning) Earl was going to play Sunday I decided to head up the turnpike and was glad I did!!
BUT I'll take the short drive to Oaks any day!

Not sure how good your grapevine is working. I was at the Oaks CC for a gun show, the end of March. There were no new hotels in the vicinity and no construction sites that I was aware of.

I copied and pasted from a TAP website. They were not my words.
But they were the words that came in a email from Allen Jr. a couple months ago.
Seems TAP League was the first to know and I had gotten the email and deleted
it since it was no big thing. Sorry other people on AZBilliards didn't get it.

But I can tell you, there are lots of motels within a 20 mile radius.

Just drive towards the cloud in the sky...the power plant.

Pottstown is where I usually stay for a couple reasons.

Okay...it's official now....http://www.superbilliardsexpo.com/

Back to the Valley Forge region!

Update posted: April 30, 2014

We have just revealed the new location, floorplan, and dates for 2015. We will be contacting all companies that have already reserved a booth and giving them the option to choose their new location -- based on the order in which the reservations were made.

We will be updating the map to reflect current availabilities every week.

Please call (609)652-6116 to discuss any considerations you may have.

Oaks is an action killer!
Gambling tables were 30 feet apart and it was hard to know where the betters were.
What a horrible location.

The floor plan is much different next year at Oaks.
It should work out better.

Hi everyone -- sorry, I do not make it to the forums very often... We were waiting to have everything finalized before making an official announcement. We also wanted to have the floorplan ready to unveil at the same time.

Much of what you have heard is true -- I have cut-and-paste the announcement from our homepage for you to read below:

Perhaps you have heard the rumors -- well, we're excited to announce that the Super Billiards Expo will be returning to the Valley Forge region of Pennsylvania April 16-19, 2015!

We will be returning to The Greater Philadelphia Center at Oaks, the same venue we used in 2012 - but this time we will have the whole building! That's right, over 225,000 square feet devoted to pool and billiards action!

We've put together a new floorplan layout for vendors to choose from, which also allocates plenty of space for playing arenas. And this year - those arenas will be carpeted! Many of you have asked for it, and we've been listening. We're excited to bring this new addition to the show.

This move brings much promise for the future, as we have ample space to grow and bring more to the show. In addition to the long term benefits of this move, the Oaks location also brings many immediate benefits:

• More space -- over 225, 000 square feet!
• Recently constructed hotel on the same property complex
• Carpeted playing arenas for the first time ever
• Many great and affordable hotels nearby
• Parking, parking, parking!
• A large variety of places to eat and play in the area

As mentioned briefly above - there is a new hotel located on the property - just a very short drive (complimentary shuttle provided) through the sprawling complex parking lot. We will be releasing more details about this and the other local hotels later.

In addition to the new hotel, the property that the Expo Center is located also has a Lowe's Home Improvement store, BJ's Wholesale Club, Target, a movie theater, and a gas station. Just about everything you might possibly need during your trip can be found on the same property.

We thank you again for your years of continued support, and we hope that you are equally excited about this move. Our hope is to find a new permanent home so that we can make long-term plans for improvements. We feel the Oaks facility is a great choice, as the local market is working diligently to cater to the facilities clients throughout the year. More hotels, restaurants, and local businesses are coming in at a rapid pace.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to give us a call at (609)652-6116.

LOVE the date too! FINALLY not on St. Patrick's day weekend!!!!!!!!!
