Sent flipmo a pm to purchase his Revo Shaft. I instantly received an email from a Miller Dustin wanting payment. Knowing that flipmo's name is not Miller or Dustin, I started questioning him about things, how'd you get my email address, what's wrong with using AZ's PM system etc.. He had an answer for everything, he just didn't have one for, when did you change your name? His email is; millerdustin0147@gmail.com. Be careful everyone, Brian.
I just received another email from Ever Gladesboy, email; ever.gladesboy21@gmail.com

Just curious, how did they get your email and how did they know you sent a PM to flipmo?

No idea. I posted to flipmo that I sent a PM, so that was easy. The email, no idea, he said he got it from a post I'd made, I highly doubt that. My email is in the AZ database, it's used to send notifications. Brian.

Here is the thread. It looks to me like some scammer(s) are sitting around watching AZB's for sale section, and if a potential buyer says they are interested, emails them. IDK how they get the email.

If you look at the time stamps, the whole thing took less than 17 minutes for them to send emails, and for the buyer to question the seller if the emails were legit from the seller.

Did you ever share your email address in a post here? That is usually how they are getting peoples addresses or phone numbers.

Mike
That I don't know Mike, without going back through my posts, but couldn't think of a reason I would. I ALWAYS handle transactions through PM. Brian.
Also, it was almost instantaneous. I posted PM sent, and before I finished sending a PM, I received an email.

Just do a search for your email address, using the search box at the top right corner of the site. Looks like twice in 2011.

Mike

Be careful. I have guys who PM me saying they have a cue I want and ask for my #.

Perhaps they just decided not to sell.
