Schick - Is this for real?

Ran across an e-bay auction for a Schick Cue that initially looked very familiar.
After some search, I find the exact same pictures and close description on the original site of Bill's at Cornerstone.

Anyone have any ideas if the auction is legit?

Myron

Wow...before I would bid on that auction, I would definitely check with Bill Grassley at Cornerstone to see if he had it on consignment or knew anything about the status of the cue.

So far I have sent an e-mail to the seller asking for another picture (primarily the joint) to see if I can get a current picture.
Will keep an watch on this one.

$40 for shipping!?.....is he going to drive it to the buyer?:D

I don't really think that is unreasonable at all. If you Priority overnight and insure for the full value he's definately light. A $2000 cue shipped and insured will cost you about $50.00

I see what you mean about the pics, theyre not his own. I asked the seller for more pics.

What I think everyone should do either if its selling cues or whatever is to have atleast one pic with a peice of paper with the sellers screen name by the item. This is what I do when I try to sell stuff online, would help alot with scams.

I agree with your note about screen names on pictures.
I did ask the seller very specifically for a picture of the joint, the pin and most of all the ivory tip that Bill puts on his latest cues.
Will be posting updates on this cue if I get anything.

I emailed the seller yesterday and asked if I could see the cue personally or pick it up if I won the auction. I did get a reply, but it said that he was selling the cue for his friend and would get back to me later.

Regards,

Doug
