From what I can see, there is no way to order the shaft without the tip. When you select the $340 shaft for purchase, a drop-down menu appears with tip options. The cheapest option is $25. There is no way to check out without selecting a tip and paying the additional fee. This is different from other Schmelke items on the same website. Other shafts and cues have a basic tip option which says "no charge" in the similar drop-down menu. In those instances the price only goes up if a higher priced tip is selected. For continuity, they should make the shaft price $365 since there is no way to buy it any cheaper.Are they really selling a shaft without a tip? Not even a LePro? Even the cheapest imports come with a tip, no matter how horrible they are.
