Hey all! This is my first FS/FT transaction, so, let me know what's available and what works best for you. I hope my previous postings on this board stands as testament to my character.

This cue is in like new condition, no more than days of play. I'd describe the hit as very crisp, with a very satisfying noise classic to Schon. And the cue plays forward balanced, overall just great playability. The ringwork at C, D, and E are very unlike the STL-1's I've seen with usually a b&w check, whereas this one is a metal stitch like in their higher-end models.? IMO I think it makes it look much classier. Also, if you're in to beefy shaftwood, this one's got it for sure--the shaft feels super dense when holding it.

Total weight: 18.4 oz
Butt weight: 14.25
Shaft weight: 4.15 oz
Tip: Elkmaster pressed Milkdud
Tip size: 12.85 mm
Balance point: 19.5 in
Joint: 5/16x14 piloted stainless steel

Over a sale, I'd really like a 3/8x10 G-10 pin, wrapless, but am open to all trades. Something with a lively hit, LD characteristics. Or maybe a newer Whitten case? I dunno, surprise me! Just throwing it out for the Fates to decide.

Given the economy, I think it would be great to be able to try out something new, without everyone having to put out a lot of dough. However, I would value this cue around $400, the ringwork, being a unique weight from the factory, and shaftwood make this cue, hands down.

Thanks for your time!

I like the look of those rings better too. Joerackem (Nielsens Billiards) on eBay used to have some lower priced Schons (CX01 comes to mind) w/that ringwork, and I thought it dressed 'em up a bit. Nice cue, good luck with the sale.

Schon Cue

I used to own a highly figured Schon like this a couple of years ago and I wished I still owned it. I like this cue and they don't show up often with this quality of birdseye maple and if I hadn't just purchased a new SW cue i'd buy it. Good luck with the sale and I don't think you'll need too much luck.

To be frank, I'm more interested in what might be out there for a trade. Thanks to all you guys with you offers; I'm weighing them as I write this.

Keep em coming!

Noob question here.

What does 56k friendly mean?

The irony here is using 1337speak, like n00b, and not knowing about 56 kbit/s modems. :D J/K

Sorry. (Pool) Nerd here.

Back in the day of voiceband modems, many forums had to size their images down for easier downloads. If they wanted to use high res pics, they had to list that they were not 56k friendly.

Stupid part is I decided to resize the images after posting....

Nice stick. If you haven't tried a Schon iv shaft you should if you like a crisp hit.

All PM's replied. Nothing major just yet!

I have so many 3/8x10 joint shafts that I think I'm gonna narrow the search for that. Unless you have something pool related that's around the price given for this cue. A 2x4 whitten would be super cool maybe?

So I think this will be the last bump on this thread for the time being.

I haven't really had any offers that sparked my interest, so, if you have anything that you can think of in fair trade (cue/case wise) I'll consider it.

Otherwise it's goin back in the case....

Thanks for your PM's guys! keep em coming if you can.
