Schon Cue Lovers

No, I don't. I used those letters just as an example. Guess I should have used A and B. My point was, don't buy something just because someone else did. Buy for what works for you.

You made a good point, but I wasn't being serious. :)

Good Rolls,

i'm like bambi on ice with any cue that doesn't have a 314 or z shaft attached to it.
my schon is no exception. i do however tend to play better with the original shaft. being aware of the higher deflection, i try to keep english and cue ball movement at a minimum.
it's definitely not a cue i use just for banging balls.

on a side note, both alex pagulayan and roberto gomez play with 314 shafts on their schons. they can eat anyone alive at a pool table. say no more. :)

If you've got friends' with their set-ups, why not (I sure you already have) shoot with their cues, if they allow it, and see how you like it. You may love it- you may hate it. Although, on topic, the Schons I've played with have always had the stock shaft on them.

> I haven't had enough experience with putting a Predator shaft on my Runde-era Schon and playing with it to really be fair about it,but I don't see how the Predator can be any better. Maybe using a Predator on a Schon butt works for others, and the ones that like them might feel they are just more accurate with the Pred, regardless of what butt it is,but as far as pure feel, give me the ivory ferruled Schon shafts for my money. I'm not sure anyone can make a "better" shaft for Schons than Evan, and I'm also not sure there is a better hitting cue on this planet, but I'm still looking too. Tommy D.
