Is there a way to date a Schon? When was the s with the swirls on it used, when did they use umlauts ... I see models that are still around, but I can't tell if they are pre 93 or post. Thanks.
 
It really depends. Sometime I like to go for a nice skinny snooker cue. Other times I like the full splice pool cues. :D

If you look in the Blue Book of Cues they cover this and yes the logo can tell you a lot from what I remember. You could also email Evan Clarke at Schon pictures and he will tell you.

I would definitely go out with some of the older Schons. The feminine ones, or course. All of those pretty points. And the nice round butts. Oh yeah. Throw in some bling, and voila! They wouldn't talk back, and most would love the poolroom. Most are around five feet tall, too. Man, you are talking my kind of language. And hey, when you're done with them, you can just put them away until next time. After you buy one, also, it's paid for. No dinner, movies, gifts to buy! Give them a protector and you're the man. Put a nice case around them and they look the same no matter how old they get. This keeps getting to be a better and better idea. You can date all kinds of different cues without jealousy. That does it. Thanks for the idea.
 
Maybe it's me but if I had a choice of recreational equipment to, um, date, IT DEFINITELY WOULDN'T BE A POOL CUE.
