schon on ebay

Maybe the seller worked as a secretary for Schon (I know, stupid thought), and is pretty clueless about pool cues. Just a guess. When I seen that forearm, it reminded me of Adams (maybe a blank made by Adam cue company in Japan). Just a guess.

I was thinking worse...Taiwan forearm. Points look way off, not very characteristic for Adam.

I had a similar looking Helmstetter, but without the MOP inlays (with very uneven long and short points all around), so I know that Adam (the maker of Helmstetter cues, I think) has made cues with very uneven points. I was thinking that you might know who made the blank. My guess was Adam or Helmstetter.

Indeed one might find an Adam with very uneven points, but I don't believe it is very typical of them.

He said it was a "year gift" for working there. Probably some jokesters said let's make this chucklehead the most butt ugly cue we can and give it to him on his one year anniversary.

When I was at a factory the guys in the model shop were always busy on their unauthorized "government projects."

Just one possibility.

Known as a "Thank God" cue.

As in "one of a kind, Thank God".
