Schon & Pechauer shaft comparison

I did search and was curious if anyone knows what difference there is between a standard Schon shaft and a standard Pechauer shaft.
I did some search and found how most like Schon’s standard shaft but not really much at all on the Pechauer shaft.

I wish is could try these two next to each other.
I have hit with a Pechauer but it had a 314-2 shaft.
The Schon I hit with was turned down to 12.5mm.
So my past experience is not 100% accurate.

I tried emailing Schon to get information on their taper, but that was a week ago and I still have not heard anything back. I know that Pechauer has a Pro taper. I believe this might be hard to compare these two. But if you have tried them what do you think.

Long story short I can get either once of these cues for the same cost. The Pechauer has some inlays and the Schon is more if a plane Jane style. Regardless they cost they both are fine by me. If it matters the Pechauer is from the Pro Series. Thanks for the input.

I think with Schon I would call them, not email them.

I love the shaft my Pechauer has. It is a rather long pro taper and the wood is clean. Mine hits great but it is not a stock set up. The taper is standard but I have an ivory fuelle and a differant layered tip then the one that comes from Pechauer.
The taper is very close to my Lucasi. If you can find a Lucasi to try the Pechauer will be very close in taper.

I've had a jp pechauer as well as a pro series. Each of the shafts had more flex than my schon. They're not whippy, but not as stiff as the schon. The schon had a stiffer hit, but the pechauer's had a nice solid hit as well. All shafts were 13mm.

I have to say when Pechauer is compared to Lucasi that makes me rethink this all together.
I own two Lucasi's and really they great cues for the price.
But as we grow in this sport we realize what is the best equipment vs. just good equipment.

No way will I buy another Lucasi type of shaft.
So if that is the best comparrision I will definiately be getting a Schon shaft.

I meant the taper is very close not the stiffness.
