I picked up a Schon that is suppose to be super duper old.
Its all ebony. Was the Schon Logo printed smaller on the butt of the older cues? Thanks for all input:)

There have been some overseas fakes showing up here. Maybe have a Schon dealer check it out.

Its a real Schon
with the normal signature but thought it looked a bit smaller but compared it to another one today and its the same.
I looked it up on the Schon Web and its the stl1 all ebony.I was told it
was close to 20years old.
I didn't think they made them that long ago but could be wrong.

Yup.

And I must be getting old because when somebody says "old cue" I certainly don't think of the nineties...or even the eighties for that matter. :embarrassed2:

To me a 90's Schon is a "modern" cue.

.

+1. I'm an old Schon snob....81,82,83

I thought the same thing but between cues and music videos,
it slowly making me see the light.

The strange thing with this cue is the cue was refinished wrong and
a coating of finish was put over the old finish which seems to have these
spiderweb looking cracks in it. The wood isn't cracked, just the finish.

With all the cues I've, had I've never seen finish do this,I wonder
what would cause it.I may have to ask the cuemaker section. Thanks

...

Does the Schon look like this? If so, are you looking to sell/trade?

I have neckties older than that.

finish problem

I had an old dufferin cue in my truck that spider webbed like that after the temperature dropped to about -5 one night. I used it as break cue and it worked fine but it looked bad.
