I know there are a lot of Schon users and Schon lovers out there....I'm curious how many of you actually shoot with and use the stock Schon tip that comes with the cue....How many take it off right away and what do you think of the stock tip?
I'm thinking of getting a Schon and was wondering.....

I played with the proprietary tip until I wore them out...decent tip. I then replaced them with Triangle mediums and have kept them ever since (they felt pretty close). Been my tip for over 15 years.

Kamui

I have used the kamui softs since my local guy first got them in stock. As of friday I am using the black soft and so far i love it. Only possible downside is they are a little tall but its not bothering me with the black like it did with the original brown ones. As for the stock schon tip I can't say much as I don't think I have ever had one all mine came on the secondary market.

I've always liked the hit of a Moori medium on a stock Schon shaft. Haven't tried a Kamui yet on a Schon.

Black Kamui Medium on a Predator 314^2 shaft. Still getting used to it, but I like it.

Off - Immediately

I take the new tip off immediately and put a Lepro M/H on. I once bought an extra shaft and was hitting balls with it (with the original tip still on it) and a nice size chunk of the tip broke right off. And that was the 2nd time that happened to me.

Moori Soft is the tip for me. Tried 6 or 7 others but settled on the Moori. Doesn't mushroom or glaze over.

When the stock Schon tip wore down I tried using water buffalo tips on there but they felt a little too hard and need to be roughed up a lot. Next I tried Moori Mediums and never looked back. They played a lot like the original tip with almost no tip shaping needed.

Everest on a Z2 or 314-2 for me.

I used to play with the stock Schon tips (Le Pro back in the day, then a proprietary tip I think), they were nice but almost always mushroomed and were hit or miss on quality.

I've heard good things about the Kamui tips, so I might try one of those next time.
