I know that I am a slam dunk for the Nobel peace prize because my theory for global peace mandates that each and every adult get free massages and have sex every day. Then everyone will be too chilled and spent to be violent or oppressive. :-)

Let's Stop With This Thread

I'm the OP and am sorry to see this thread continue to be used to debate global economics. I have nothing against the debate, but it keeps the unfortunate title, "Schuler Cue Out Of Business", active. Terry Trim, the president of Schuler Cue, has posted twice that they are still in business and that should be the end of this thread. I feel guilty about starting the thread in the first place and don't want to hurt their business any more than I already have.

Schuler is not out of business. They are outsourcing the mfg of the cues to Jacoby.

Its kind of funny about the other crap. You ask a question about something and get a debate about something completely off base. WOW

Schuler cue, read Terry and Brian Trim, are now the agents for cues that Jacoby will be making to Ray's specs, Ray having died about 7 years ago. So if you want a Schuler good luck. I my mind the only guy that can today make a true Schuler is Noel Mendez {sp} who workede in Rays shop for 14 years before getting shit canned by the Trims. NO NOTICE, NOT SEVERANCE PAY, NO SHIT !!! Noel was hired by Ivan Lee, then production manager for Ray, and then took over Ivan's position when Ivan left for Atlas Billiards. This is all second hand and hearsay but I believe it is very close to what happened. It was in FEB of this year that the TRIMs sold everything at auction and let NOEL go without notice.

I would trust Jacoby to make a true Schuler cue and wouldn't hesitate to order from them if something happened to my 1982 Schuler.
 
status of schuler

very interesting topic. i.e. schuler out of business. very, very interesting answers. enjoyed them all. now just where and by whom are schulers being made? just wondering
