I am sure Ray Hansen will post a thread with the flyer, but just a heads up since this is less than two months away. I am going to try to stop by Friday and Saturday so make sure to say hi if you come out to watch the event. Calcutta for 1 pocket starts at 5 and the first round starts at 6. One pocket resumes on Saturday at 12 while they will also be having the 9 ball tournament $50 entry.

Several people posted in the comments to confirm they are coming for the one pocket:

OK IT'S OFFICIAL!!! Big truck Ray Hansen, myself and BIG DOGS billiards in des monies Iowa are holding a BIG EVENT! Friday June 20 we will have the draw and Calcutta 1,000$ entry onepocket event race to 4 on winners and losers side limited to first 16 players with 5,000$ added garunteed!!! Along with this we will be holding a bar table 9-ball event 50$ entry with 2,000$ added to benefit Hunter Cole and cancer! Bar table will be a race to 7 on both sides and start Saturday at noon! This is a great pool room and location! We need everyone's support for this cause!!! Contact me or big dogs to send entry and hold a spot. Extra cues or memorabilia is always welcome for raffle to the family of Hunter Cole... Thanks so much everyone and flyers will be out soon! I agree with all the responses this far. Maybe this isn't NPR or drama enough for a reply lol? It should be a good time with plenty of action including the rail.
 
The 9 Ball is also $2000 added and they are donating the 9 ball green fees to Hunter Cole!!

This will be a great event! I'm very excited to be going back to Des Moine.

I have wanted to check out Big Dawgs so maybe I'll use this as an excuse.

I know...I meant forum members talking about who would win...who would match up....who would snap a cue etc lol :D

I am for sure going to stop out for the first round Friday night...hopefully I can stop by Saturday as well to rail a bit. Big Dogs is a pretty nice place so I am glad this tournament can be held there. Hopefully there will maybe start to be more like this...possibly 2-3 times a year would be cool.
 
Here is the list signed up. A guy from Des Moines Troy Honeycutt as well as Johnathan Hennessee are the other two. We are trying to get our own Des Moines beast Don McCaughey to play but not sure that will happen...would be a treat for sure if he does.

Oh, and billy incardona is coming to hop into the booth I believe...should be a blast! Any of my fellow AZ homies coming to this? I am definitely coming Friday, not sure about Saturday yet.

It should be noted that these are NOT paid entries. To officially be in the tournament players must be paid.

Paid list will be starting soon.

We all think of him being from Arizona, but if I remember right he was from this area years ago.

Yeah you are correct Ray. This is the signed up list, but we should have the pending list hopefully soon in terms of who is paid.

Scott is from Iowa. In fact he actually went to my high school growing up (Urbandale). I want to say he is about 4 years older as a guess so I never saw him there, but I did see a picture once many moons ago in my sister's yearbook.

Hey RJ, I am not running the show so I don't know about that...I am just posting the info so people can plan ahead to stop out for a good cause as well as to watch some good pool (and hopefully woofing/rail action).

Yep, Frost is from Iowa. Maybe even Des Moines, but I'm not sure about that. I know he played there a lot.

I see John Schmidt's name on the list. He was born in Keokuk, Iowa (where I am originally from), but his family moved out of the state while he was very young.
 
This will be a great tournament to sweat in person!!

Scott Rabon has committed to commentary for the One pocket which literally makes it like a One Pocket Clinic. Jeremy Jones will be playing and will try and sit in for a match and legendary One Pocket color man Billy Incardona will be in the house as well. If we are lucky Billy will stop by the booth as well.

There will be lots to do and lots to learn at this event.

I will primarily be covering the Pro One Pocket but we will be panning over when we have a chance.

I was talking to Gordy Ray the other day and he said Don was coming back (from CO) for this one. He was showing us the flyer.

Btw, Who Is Cole?
