Scott Frost Vs. Efren Reyes..

Efren breaks but doesn't get protection..

Scott send two balls to his side with protection but Efren returns the favor.

Efren's turn to give Scott some bait, but he's a smart fish too and doesn't take it, instead electing to two rail a ball to his side leaving the CB buried in the stack.

Efren plays a great move shot leaving scott tied up to a ball in the stack with several balls in front of his hole.

It's a difficult shot out of here and he may wish to take a foul and let Efren deal with it.

He tries to get out of it with a two rail but sells out to Efren.

Efren runs out to take the lead 3-2...

Nice , thank for the updates

Efren's turn to sell out.

Efren's turn to sell out, but there are a lot of balls still tied up and no obvious break out shots.

Scott makes the obvious ball and leaves himself a bank.

Cinches the bank and leaves a long rail bank, plays to leave the bank in his hole with protection and executes it perfectly.

Scott up 4-0.

Efren tries to knock out or in the ball in scott's hole and misses it entirely.

Scott up 4 to -1.

Scott makes another ball and tries to force a breakout on a difficult shot and misses it.

He gets fortunate that it isn't a sellout but does put a ball on Efren's side in the process.

Going from what shou;d've been up 3-0 to down 3-2, it's gotta be playing on Scott's mind. Hopefully he can get past it and play the game he's capable of.

Efren plays a three rail to perfection and cinches it.

now score is 4-0 Scott.

Efren plays a great kick knocking a ball to his side and leaving Scott in the pack. Scott thins it leaving the cb on the top rail.

I'm looking at a bank with a three rail CB control to put the cb up by Efren's pocket. Not sure if Scott will try it though.

He doesn't electing instead to play a more conservative similar shot.

Scott is able to completely reverse Efren's advantage by playing three balls to his side.

All three that were close to Efren's pocket are now on Scott's side playable to his pocket.

Efren makes a great shot.

I wasn't looking for the whole shot but it appeared to be a kick combo or kick carom to make a ball, then he misses a rather routine shot for him.

Score 4-1 Scott.

Balls tied up by Efren and Scott this is turning into a move fest..

Will a DVD of this be available for sale after the fact ?

Efren 20 years from now way past his prime will still be better than
many of us will ever be.

wow...

Efren puts out the bait with a long side rail bank and Scott cinches it like it's making toast and has shape on another ball.

The rest of the balls are still tied up though with little opportunity for a break out.

Scott's rethinking his decision on this shot several times. He may be trying to draw off the rail for a cut on the three which may be cutable.

He stuns off the five and elects to just knock the other balls to his side.

Now up 6-1.

Jaden

This rack is almost completely in Scott's favor at this point.

Most of the balls are on Scott's side and he's up 6-1, unless Efren moves incredibly well or Scott fubars , this rack should tie up the score.

Scott makes a thin cut after Efren rattles it out of his pocket and elects to shoot a double tough back cut and does it to tie it up 3-3...

Jaden

Efren breaks...

Efren breaks well and Scott kicks a ball away from Efren's hole leaving little for him.

Efren tries a carom bank and scratches.

Scott has BIH and is up 0 to -1..

Scott still doesn't have much of a shot even with BIH. He's trying to create something but may be better off ducking at this point in a tie match with momentum in his favor.

He's looking at a 50 degree four eight combo...

hits it good but too soft and sells out a shot.

Efren travels a little far and is forced to attempt a combo which he misses.

He only gets two balls from scott's mistake Efren up 1-0.

I'll have to disagree!!

A lot of knowledge in this match-up.
Unfortunately, Efren is past his prime and Scott is in his.

IMO, if one watches this match-up it isn't to sweat the winner, but
rather to catch a glimpse (and take notes) of the many intelligent,
creative, amazing, and bold shots that can be made playing one-hole!

I cant watch anymore today, back to work, but if Efren is past his prime I want to be too! There are only one or two guys that can beat him in One Pocket, no one in Balk Line, three or four guys in Rotation, no one has to beat him in 14.1 and in 9&10 Ball he can still hold his own with all but a few American players!

He might not be who he was, but who he is.., well its better then most in their prime.

Scott banks a ball to sitting in his pocket...

Scott banks a ball to sitting in his pocket with protection and Efren kicks it in at perfect speed.

ballcount 1-1.

Scott makes a great bank to take the lead in ballcount.

Then long banks the one to in front of his pocket with protection.

I think Efren will attempt to kick it away..

He does but leaves an easy bank for Scott.

Scott cinches the bank with shape to go up 3-1 in ball count.

He follows for the break out and gets another shot 4-1.

plays shape for a bank 5-1.

cinches the bank 6-1.

Scott attempts to knock a ball up table away from Efren's hole but scratches giving Efren BIH and going back down to 5-1.

Jaden

Efren makes a ball.

Efren makes a ball with shape for another with a stack breakout.

He makes it but doesn't get the best shape for the next ball. He makes the thin cut to get within one ball 4-5.

tied up five to five with shape on two balls and a dead combo. Efren should take the lead again here.

Efren up 6-5 now.

Efren finishes it up with the dead combo to take the lead again 4-3..

So far...

So far Scott gave up one game he had the advantage in by being too aggressive and one game he had the advantage in for being too conservative, hopefully, he catches his rythm and figures out which times to be what.

Scott and Efren go back and forth but then Scott locks Efren into the stack with a few balls in front of his hole.

Scott tries for a kick combo out of the stack and leaves the cb on the wrong side and open for Efren.

Scott leaves Efren down table against the bottom rail.

Scott makes a great long rail bank that knocks a ball right to his pocket and leaves Efren on the bottom rail.

Efren Caroms the ball sitting in the pocket in and leaves the CB in front of Scott's pocket.

This is some great one pocket being played by two of the greatest one hole players on the planet.

go scott!!!

This is really unfortuitous...

Scott makes a great bank but scratches in the side, making the score 0-0 and Efren with BIH. Complete reverse of fortune based on the table layout.

Efren makes two balls before leaving himself poorly while trying to get a breakout.
Efren tries the tough cut, and rattles it in his hole.

I then missed the next several shots because I do have to work too...

It looks like they were going back and forth thinning the ball that Efren rattled though.

Scott is able to long rail bank that ball toward his pocket and follow the CB to the bottom rail.

Efren plays a great shot off a ball having the CB hit the side rail and go to the top rail barely missing knocking Scott's balls free to be made in his pocket.

wow. What a finesse shot by Scott, combo caroming a ball towards his pocket and sending the CB back down table to partially hide behind the one ball.

Efren thin cuts the one he's hidden behind and cinches it and makes three more balls without any trouble to get to 5 to -1.

Jaden

Efren makes a back cut on the six to get within two balls.

Efren gets within one ball after making another ball but gets funny and only has a tough super thin cut on the thirteen.

Instead he elects to knock two balls away from Scott's hole. Good choice.

Scott leaves him a tough back cut on the fourteen. and it hangs up right in the pocket.

Scott is forced to follow it in and take a negative 2.

Efren has a tough cut on the five with BIH.

and makes it to get up 2 games 5-3...

Jaden

Efren breaks well..

Scott kicks the ball closest to Efren's pocket back toward his hole and leaves the cueball against the top rail.

Efren then thins a ball and leaves the CB against the rail about two inche in front of the the titty of Scott's hole.

Tehy may have taken a break...
