Scott Frost's opinion about Predator tables

A lot of talk and no substance. Just played in the Wyoming State 8 Ball Championships on Predator tables. They had in the neighborhood of 100 tables set up in the Casper events center. Were they all perfect? No they were not, but the staff made sure any issue was attended to and resolved quickly. Even thought quite a bit about purchasing a table at the event.
How did you like the bounce off the rails? Did it feel natural? I've yet to play on one.

Scott offers to explicitly describe/enumerate the problems over the phone which indicates to me that he sensibly intuits the elementary fact that Predator has far deeper pockets than he does should Predator initiate a lawsuit for what their attorneys will contend are actionably libelous (slander/defamation disseminated in-print ) statements.

Arnaldo ~ Scott's legal fees defending himself (and defend he must) will bankrupt him much faster than the corporate chump change legal fees Predator would disburse over a few months of legal warfare. Lose-lose situation for Scott which could place him in debt for all of his remaining years. . . . no matter how valid his opinions may happen to be. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
That's odd because I see people on the internet giving reviews of products nonstop. Courts must have a 30+ year backlog

The problems with their tables were talked about a great many times here and elsewhere.
Rail height, build quality, cloth, etc. have been discussed previously.
From what I have heard, the rail height issue has been addressed and resolved.
I expect the other issues will be addressed in the near future. Give them time.
I will never buy one of their tables, but I 100% appreciate their investment in the game I love.
They have been a net positive for pool more than most companies in the industry.

Scott Frost posted his opinion about Predator tables on Facebook.

"I’ve bit my tongue as long as possible but I have put in the blood, sweat and tears to speak on this. I’ve also built great long term relationships with PROVEN billiards industry giants who handled themselves with integrity and honesty for decades now. Im talking about obvious companies that have products that exceed all expectations for amateurs and professionals. To be clear, I have absolutely no issue with a company coming in and competing with products that are credible and viable as this is healthy for all companies and growth in any industry.

Trying to bully the market and take over every aspect along with taking advantage of the league player which is the most valuable market in pool is a bold and brazen move. I know things that I probably shouldn’t and the way this pool table company has handled this whole situation is disappointing and misleading just like this flyer.

And to make matters worse, the products are sub par and most top players won’t speak the truth because they have been silenced by the political machine. If you’d like to better understand the issues with the product or products I have zero problems explaining what I know over a phone call.

I’ve tried for almost a year to get a phone call or even a message returned to have a open and constructive conversation. Only to be completely ghosted which only validates my suspicions.

Lastly, I’m sure I’ll be banned from any and all events associated with this company moving forward because that’s what bully’s do. Instead, respond to your messages in messenger like you do your paid players or pick up the phone and call me. Even better let’s go live and discuss it for the world to see and here. CEO’s only because I like it tough.

I stopped reading his drivel at "ghosted".

Don't read it then. Who cares about grammar? If you couldn't understand what he was getting at then maybe your the retard here.

We aren't getting paid to give all these companies free information about products basically doing all the research and spilling the beans for free all over the internet. %&*k predator. The last thing pool needed was more predator brand crap. Idk who builds the tables I heard Europe somewhere. I'm sure it won't be long they will be made in China by slave labor
Nobody knows what he was talking about because he didn't say anything.

I’d like to see a YouTube video of the top brands out there being disassemble/assembled by a top table mechanic or two with their likes and dislikes about each table. If the companies are confident in their product they should have no problem donating a table for the test.
Part 2 could have opinions from top pros, they can remain anonymous, on the playability of each table.
This video would have many, many views and if a table manufacturer refused to lend a table then that should raise suspicion on its own.
Then Coco could come back and tell us what he thinks!

Made by SAM Billiards in Spain

The rails are very, very responsive. Does not take much to move the cueball. At first I thought it was way too fast for a 7 ft table. Just took some getting used to is all.

I particularly liked being able to go rail first or even 3 rails to pocket a hanging corner ball without scratching behind or missing the ball completely.

If Predator was all about the game, they'd be selling their tables everywhere, but instead, they're soliciting locations with Diamond 7fts, trading their Predator tables straight across for the Diamonds, then selling the Diamonds to get their money back! But if you own a room with 30 Valley tables, they're NOT interested in trading their shit for more shit, because they can't sell them for shit!!! So, WHY are they only following Diamond tables around? Can't sell their shit like everyone else has had to do?

I guess we all should ask ourselves...if we had the space and $ to have both a 9' and a bar box, would we go with Predator? Or???

Obviously they dont see valley as a real competitor because the tables are junk and considered 2nd rate.

Summoning RKC.

Do we have to say it 3 times?

It's kind of funny that Diamond will finance their pool tables for bar and pool room owners, even NEW start ups, but Predator wouldn't finance a roll of toilet paper, guess they don't have much confidence in the shit they sell!!!

Believe it or not, that speaks VOLUMES about the company you're dealing with!!!

AND they WON'T finance that bar owner with the 30 valley 7fts in order to get their tables on location, how about that shit! Diamond does that, all day long, and twice on Sunday!!

That's how you sell Predator pool tables, by turning them into Diamonds with straight across trades, on the promise of getting the locations into BIG money events, sometime to come in the future, MEANWHILE selling off the Diamonds because there's a MARKET for them, NOT for Predators!!

Guess what, the Valley tables a way better built, FACT!!

As a matter of fact, Globals and the Brunswicks Global builds, as well as the Dynamo coin operated pool tables are ALL better built than the Predators are!!! You WON'T be seeing the Predator 7fts 5-6 years old on the market, they WON'T hold up, trust me!!

Predator undoubtedly is trying to make money

Predator is also trying to grow the sport (presumably so they can make more money)

Scott's post was a lot of complaining about..... I'm not sure what ?

I feel my "review" of their table from August 20th, 2022 is relevant here....tldr yup played like a pool table covered in predator logos.

The review:

I participated in part of the tournament and also played on a table with friends for several hours. Strictly on the 7' version.

They were honestly pretty nice and I enjoyed playing on them. Pocketing was moderately easier than on a diamond. I didn't measure pocket size, they seemed close to diamond size but I personally rattled a lot less balls than I do on a diamond, without feeling like I was being particularly precise. I suspect the pocket shelf and/or pocket facings are just more accepting.

They banked a bit funny. The rails didn't seem to grab side spin overly well. I don't know if this is due to brand new cloth or if the rails are just funny. The cloth was very fast.

The tables were VERY quiet. Very very quiet, I was thrilled about that. I didnt have any balls get stuck in the ball return.

One table I played on had a cracked section - I can't think of the word but the part where you'd rest your bridge hand for a shot that is close to the rail, the veneer or whatever it is. Don't know how it cracked, it was 4 or 5 inches long and was surprising to see considering the age of the average valley rail and how those never seem busted up.

Every table also had their fancy new rack which...was fine. If you're buying a table and it comes with it - great. But I wouldn't spend any money on it. I encountered a rack where one of the risers (it's a thin triangle mounted on 3 risers which then provides less drag on the cloth) was coming loose, I just tightened it by hand and it was fine.

The predator rectangle perimeter style light was also mounted above every table. Quite pleasant to play with though a lot of them were poorly hung, just not level, I imagine that was just the nature of it being a tournament with lots of prep to complete in minimal time. Holy expensive though I think they wanted 1200USD or something.

The predator Arcos 2 balls or whatever they are were nice, no complaints except that I personally hate having a cat face where there should be the second # but whatever. After my first few racks of 10 ball I got worried for a moment that they were being blasphemous and using a purple 5 and I was shooting out of order...this was not the case, the 5 ball was thankfully ORANGE.

I'm personally not a fan of Predator branding at all so I must say.......HOLY GIANT CATS EVERYWHERE. The table itself was a fine shape for a bar box but jeepers they are obsessed with plastering giant cats on everything, making the tables fairly ugly to look at on the superficial level. I feel this way about most predator stuff though, so take it as you will.

All in all, I liked them more than I expected I would. At 8000 USD for a 7' (I think this was the price) though, it better be damn good. It was about $1000 per giant cat printed on the side of the table, give or take.
