It is amazing what Scott has done with CNC in the past year, he seems to have tapped into his natural born talent, some guys who have had the same equipment or better never get to where he has in a year, I could have 10,000,000 in equipment, 3 tonnes of ivory and the best old woods in the world and not make a cue in 10 years, Some have others dont.

Scott really has talent to accomplish what he has in a year, I know he was here and I saw his cues a year ago, they were very good then and I liked the hit of all but one of them. But I had no idea he was gonna be making a cue like Steves in a year, and to be honest I dont think Scott knew that either. I showed him every cue I own from $100-to the top, each and every cue(something I havent done since-I dont bust out all the cues for people often). He was memorized, now he is building cues on such a much higher level in such a short time. I think he suprised himself, no he isnt a Barry, Ernie, Tony(black boar) but he is one hell of a cue maker so fast, thats my point to do what he has so fast is unusual. I dont like to rank cue makers-It really isnt fair to anyone of them(this in my new way of thinking) with the exception of Gus, he is top dog. Scott has earned his stripes so to speak real fast as a legit cue maker, not a hobiest.

And he is a great guy too, But dont let this go to your head man,;) Keep up the good work Scott.

and no I dont own one of his cues, I just saw this talent happen and I'm happy for him, when I see something like this happen its heart warming. He said "Since I'm going to be doing this for a living, I have to be good at it and jump in"

he did...

i agree 100%

i saw scott at SBE

if there was a most improved maker award he would win in a land slide

you said id best some have it and some dont. either way youll know pretty quickly

Newest Panto Hero Mr. Scott Gracio

Mr Scott Graco has indeed been helpful, to all . I remember about a yr ago when I wanted some wood turned and Scott was right there to help if needed. I think he has been eating, breathing, and sleeping panto! Dam you Eric I kid you not I was thinking the same thing, as you were typing. I was reading between BHQ and Scott ,about tulip wood. Our new Panto Hero!! unlike eric I do need a graco mark I will be contacting soon

Thanks guys.

I've been fighting the Flu and feeling a little depressed, this really brightened my day.

When I started building I had no idea what I was getting into. I'm not sure what's better, the feedback when a customer opens a package with their new shiny cue or the satisfaction of learning a new technique or idea to put into a cue.

Thanks to AZ I got to see Fatboy's toys. I think we looked at cues for 3 hours. The connection Eric has with his collection is unique. He showed every cue in order from least desired to favorite, telling the history and describing the hit of each. I was amazed at the respect he had for cues and cue builders.

It was obvious who his favorite builder is. The Barry Szamboti cues that Eric has are out of this world. From super fancy to simple points. I saw Barry's best work (and lots of them). The tribute cue is amazing!

Thanks for the compliments
I love my job and there is no limit to what I'll do in the future.

That's funny that you didn't like the hit of one cue. That cue had a OB1 shaft. It did have a different feel.

Go Scotty..

Yes, I agree.
Scott, you are doing great for the amount of time you been around.
I agree with Eric and the others. (Talented, Super Nice Guy, Helpful)
And, you offer me a lot of help to get my CNC going.
I hope I can reach your CNC talent level soon.

I gotta put out some mean caps soon..
The AZ'ers think I'm talented..
"You can fool some of the people some of the time, but,....."
You know how that saying goes..
Alton

Eric, Bob sent me a photo of your Cap. You're going to love it. I did...

Scott Gracio

I first encountered Scott when he had some old wood he found that he was willing to make into shafts. While I was ordering one for either my SW or my Kersenbrock, I forget which, I happened upon a beautiful dice cue, John Davis blank, full of ivory for I think about $800. It was such a good deal. He eventually made joint protectors for it that were also beautiful that I believe he has on his web site. We started pming and emailing and he made me another shaft. Then we talked about a chess themed cue, John Davis blank, tons of ivory, real neat joint protectors, and I got that. Then he had a gambler themed Davis conversion tons of ivory and you know I had to get that. Nice guy, nice cues.

I saw that Szamboti tribute he did and thought, Damn. Then the one for Steve was just so beautiful. He certainly has come a long way.

Right now, he is working on an old one piece butterfly full splice victor cue and is turning it into something nice for me. I'd like to get him to do me a Szamboti and a Balabushka tribute later. Lots of real KEWL stuff coming out of Scot's shop.

I bought a Scott Gracio sneaky pete from Doug (mrinsatiable on azb) about 5 months ago and I love the cue. The weight is a tad light, it weighted out at 17.6 and would like to make it about 18.5 if possible. I had an OB-1 and an OB-2 made and put the Black Kamui tips and it plays great. I love the hit and feel of this cue.

Doing a great job Scott!
