The power of a professional lesson...

Just one week after my eye opening lesson with Scott Lee, I had a very strong tournament. I finished 3rd in the Tiger 9 Ball Tour year end final knocking off 3 top players on the winner side.

I haven't even had time to really work in the practice routines from the lesson. Just keeping a couple of key thoughts in mind made a huge difference in the event. Wonder what'll happen when it's all a natural part of my game!

Good job Andy. Scott helped me too a few years ago. I still use some of his drills now and then to get in stroke. He taught me a little shot I use all the time too. One lesson gave me about a year of things to work on.

Andy...I had a great time working with you! :D I was pleased and proud to hear that you did so well in the year-end final! Congratulations! I can't wait to see how much more you improve, after the routines have a chance to sink in!

Andy, I'm a believer and would like to also get some lessons next time Scott is in the area. Based on your results, I'm also starting to be a believer in the value of 14.1 to developing your overall pool game. I know you have been putting in a lot of hours in that regard. I still haven't tried straight pool though. I need more patience...

Actually Steve...What I'll teach you is that you only have to practice 15-30 minutes a day...and NO more! It's just a different kind of practice, than you're used to. I'll be back in MD, immediately following the SBE, in March, and then heading north through DE, NJ, NYC, CT, RI, MA, PA, and NY. Anyone wishing to get a date on my schedule, can email me.

I'd definitely be up for the 6 hour videotape analysis private lesson package at my house in March. I'll be in touch via email over available dates. Looking forward to it!

Rich,

The key thoughts that helped so much were:

1. Set. Making a clear distinction between practice strokes and the actual shot delivery. Giving myself a good 2 seconds to focus back on the object ball before the final stroke.

2. Finish. Following through on those long tough shots. Really finishing the shot with the cue tip down on the table afterwards.
