It seems like he has been around the pool world for a long time. Does anyone know his story? Did he start as a player or what was his thing?
When I first saw him, in 1980, he was "Scott the Shot" and was a pretty strong player. I'm not sure, but I think he played in tournaments for a while before finding his true calling as a TD.9BallBust-O said:It seems like he has been around the pool world for a long time. Voodoo, I have a vague memory (just about all my memories are vague at this age!) that Scott Kitto was in a bad car accident many years ago.Voodoo Daddy said:I'm gonna look dumber than normal but I cant remember if he or Scott Kitto was the guy with the bad luck with health issues, both played real good but one of them suffered from several health problems shortening their professional aspirations. Anyone wanna bail me out here...Grady, Freddie?

vagabond said:Scott Smith played in the Pro tour in the past when Joe Blackburn ( Cue repairman) played in the tour.

Scott Kitto is from Iowa and he has some disabilities ( one leg shorter than the other or something like that).Scott Kitto played in the protour and was in top 45 and was not seen anywhere after 1996-1997.
As another tid bit, Scott Also finished 4th at the stardust tournament years ago, he was better than AA player at one time for sure. He also owned a couple pool/bar rooms and likes being in the action.Scott Lee said:Scott Smith is from Colorado Springs, CO. In the late 70's and early 80's he played on BCA league teams out of The Corner Pocket. His team, won the BCA national championship, I believe, in 1980. He was married to WPBA pro player Laura Smith for a few years. I'm pretty sure he started doing his TD gig when the PBTA was formed, under Don Mackey...that makes 20+ years as a professional tournament director. He does a great job, and is respected by all the players.
