Hey guys,

I suffered some bad fate today and scratched at 67, until i laid it out with cue table i didnt think it was possible. When i set it up i see that the tangent angle is there. although i hit the cue ball with follow, after it hit the rack it hooked into the pocket i guess from all that top spin.

I dont think i had gotten a kiss either !

I was affraid to hit the top side of the rack in fear of sliding off the rack and into the corner. let me see if i can put a dotted line to show that.

It was one of those racks that played out to have a bunch of trouble spots and managed to get out okay but was forced to take away breakshots in doing so. had tried to nudge a ball out of the rack area earlier on but i didnt quite nudge it enough.

Well back to the old drawing board!

Well i cant figure out the dotted line, but you will understand what i am getting at.

Unfortunately i didn't have the video camera once again, although i would of loved to see it again so i can believe it

CueTable Help

tough break. It is usually safer to come in the back door so to speak on these kinds of breaks. What was the high for? If you are just coming off the back short rail only need some right.

You probably could have made it go into the 14 if you wanted.

Oh well, consistent 50-60 somethings are good.

You should be able to get to where you need to go before long.;)

i thought i might need it to help me drive through a little, instead of possibly sticking to it.

You Live And Learn i guess

if it's coming off the back rail, it probably just drags you back down towards the same rail.

Anyway, you got a few more days of your week off.

go get 'em.

I'm trying and Thank You.

Like i said in previous message a just want a good solid week of practice.

And you got some memory there for remembering i am on Vacation!

Steve

and maybe it didnt help either that the cloth is still relatively new, so there is alot of slide! i think its 860 simonis

The high spin will take you back down to the end rail after contacting the rack, draw may stick you in the rack or even push through a little, and center will take you to the side rail. Without the high, you probably would not have scratched. Great to know for break shots and secondary break shots, and one pocket.:)

CueTable Help

I know it's hard to tell without actually being there, but do you think you could've driven the cue ball into the 10-6? Without having to force the angle to get to the 14, wouldn't that be your better option?

to tell you the truth, i was shooting a little tight because i thought i might be doing another 100+. And i was also upset that i failed to get a better shot for a break, being that there was so many tough spots on the table to deal with.

Like i said at one point i did try to nudge out a ball for the break but failed to move it enough and had to take away better break shots to solve all the other problems at hand.

guess its back to the drawing board !
