I was going to start a new for sale thread for the remaining 3 cues but this one will do to sum it all up. First off I bought these cues with a friend site unseen to me. He described them over the phone and said the seller had several other nice cues and there were no issues with them. When I got them I looked them over but not well enough I guess, just rolled them to make sure they were straight and got all the specifications. Lots of AZ members were interested and I have had numerous offers, which I am now glad I didn't except. I took them to the DCC because several people wanted to see them in person. I left them with a friend and when I got back several people pointed out issues with the cues and evidently knew the original seller.
They are all legitimate Scruggs but these are the problems with them. The bacote cue has been refinished and was NOT done by Tim, it was done nicely though. The rosewood cue was cracked at the joint and repaired, again it was a nice fix but was NOT done by Tim. The Purple Heart cue was bought back by the original seller and he also took the shaft from the rosewood cue. The true sneaky pete has no issues so nothing has changed with it. I spoke to the individual who sold the cues to my buddy and he confirmed he had all the work done and never mentioned it once during the sale of the cues. When these cues were bought there was maybe $300-$400 profit to be made on all of them combined in this market. I know that's not the case now so a loss will be taken on my part as long as a potential new buyer knows all the facts.
ALL SOLD
