These are some of my "newer" cues.
Fantastic players, all of them!

Nice! I can tell you your middle Scruggs was ordered and bought by me in 1980 when I lived in Michigan. I had fun designing the cue over the phone with Tim and Bob Frey who I believe did the clovers. I bought one before that and 2 more the next year that I came to California with. I loved the way Tim's cues played. Your cue got me started on ivory flat-face joints that I have long preferred.

Wow! Thanks for the history info.
I talked with Bob Frey about the cue several months ago.
One of the shaft collars has a slight separation that I'd like to get fixed.

My first Joss cue was the one that got me hooked on flat-faced ivory joints.

I guess that's why most of my cues fall into the Joss lineage (Joss, JW, Scruggs, Freys).

Joss lineage...

Dan also taught Richard Black, Bill Schick, and Tony of Black Boar fame.
Bill Stroud and Dan Janes taught themselves together.

Those are some beauties!

Martin's preference for a cue joint coincides with my tastes as well and ironically,
it was a flat faced ivory cue made by Tim Scruggs that convinced me to switch. It
was my 1st flat faced ivory cue joint & as you see, I've added a few more since then.
