Scruggs Sneaky Playing Cues

If the cue had a delrin buttcap the logo was on the buttcap.

If the cue did not have the buttcap then the logo was stamped between the points.

The cues with the buttcap were higher priced.

What about placement of the logo? On the delrin buttcap, versus stamped between the point?

Clarify, can this be used to distinguish between a TS sneaky made by Bob? Any idea if the delrin buttcaps can be dated to an 'era'?

The only thing that perhaps could is the logo on the Delrin Butcap.

A different styled logo was on the customs. Maybe that was true for the sneakies as well. As far as the logo stamped between the points. I don't think that changed at all.

The delrin buttcap cues were made through all the decades.

I had one that was really "road-worn" if you will. The guy I sold it to had it refinished (for that reason alone, I wish I'd kept it). I bought it off an old hustler/card dealer and it played very well. The only thing I didn't like was the older linen based ferrule material which took chalk too easily.

When Bob retired did his son continue building cues or did someone else buy his shop equipment? Is there any authorized Frey or Scruggs repair anymore? Just curious. Anyone picked up a TS OR Frey sneaky recently, if so what do they run these days?

Jeff W. made them all after Bob Frey left. Just a clarification.

Bob still does make a great cue.
My Scruggs sneaky has a cocobolo joint and butt cap, I bought it in the mid to late 80’s. Do you know who might have made the Coco ones?

Looks like this has been discussed before, credit where it is due. I'm sure these members know a heck of a lot more than me.
