Seaglass505 shafted me. Buyer's beware!

That is correct. THe picture didnt show the shafts thats why I asked to make sure. Then asked again to make sure they were straight. Which he answered and they are not. ALso you notice in the pictures that one of the cues are different. It feels like he just picked one and said here you go.

Yep, cue is different for sure, but he never really answered your shaft question. If you read over what you asked and what you wrote.

You said "if so let's do it", he said "You got it" which does not really say much aside from let's trade.

Then you asked about if they are straight and about the shafts, he said "Yes everything straight together and apart.", once again ignoring the shaft question.

I have no doubt he did not make a fair deal and should have send back the cue soon as you asked, but he also skirted around the shaft question without directly answering it. It SEEMS like he did , but not really.

The guy has continually violated forum policy for W/FS ads with illegal bumping. Now he's using his personal profile messages to sell as well? When contact by members via PM he has been rude and condescending. All this alone should have sent up red flags...total disregard for the rules is typically indicative of the potential for other dishonest behavior. The old 'bait -n- switch'...then I notice he's a used car salesman...hmmmmm.

Just because his iTrader is predominantly good doesn't mean squat. How many times have we seen similar scenarios? Look at the infamous Jeff Forney. Has many good deals, and then sticks someone bad. He's done it over and over and over again. I wouldn't deal with anyone from Watkins Glen, NY as a result...the guy is prolific. There is no reason to believe he is not here right now doing it again.

Something didn't feel right to me about this seaglass505 guy from out of the gate...call it a sixth sense.

Good luck getting resolution...it's rare when someone has. I am pretty much done with buying or selling on this site as a result...it just isn't safe anymore.

Regardless if he skirted around the question, it's obvious he's out to screw the guy. For one, he didn't even send the cues that were pictured...and second, there aren't enough shafts for each cue to have even one. If you're trading three cues, they should come with at least a shaft for each.

If I bought a "cue" and received the butt of a cue I would be pissed.

He and I spoke on the phone about the shafts and the whole deal many times. He agreed to it. So I sent emails going over what we talk about on the phone to kind of back myself up so not as much of a he said she said deal. I guess it comes from being in business so long. However, he agreed to e deal over he phone, via text, and email with him agreeing to the deal including the shafts. And I am still here with one wrong cue, one warped cue 3 of the shittiest drumstick shafts you could imagine and my cue is still gone. I think the straw that broke this camels back is he fact that I gave him a month to make this right and do the right thing. I wasn't even going to bring it here had he sent off the shafts. I would have bit my tongue because I don't want to be this guy. Now because I gave him a well deserved negative review, he will Inturn be sending me one even though I overnighted the cue that he wanted! and it was in the condition I said it was in. Just isn't right.

Anymore, if I am going to buy something on here, I look at their I-trader
feedback and ask lots of questions of the Seller and folks who have
dealt with them.
Good luck with getting this favorably resolved.

Am I the only one wondering why this guy hasn't posted in his "defense". Not that it would matter anyway but it should be an interesting excuse as to why he traded firewood for a good shooter.

Pretty obvious. if someone were to make accusations of my character and I had a reason to defend myself, I certainly would at least try.

He artfully dodged the 2 shaft question. Can't do much about that. But, he did claim that all rolled straight together and apart, which isn't the truth.

Plus claims that the cues were in better condition than what the op received.

Why isn't SeaGlass505 Red by now. If anyone should be for a bit, it is he.

The guy received 3 butts. He should have gotten at least 3 decent shafts in the deal at the very least.

One butt that can't be played with or even resold. Its garbage so the OP received only 2 cues in reality.

I may hand out a Red later on tonight. I don't have that many points so can't do it all by myself.

Seaglass 505 offered to buy a Pierce from me. We settled on price then he said he was sending a money order that day for $50 more then the agreed price, which I thought was wierd. He asked multiple times how he could be sure I would send cue. After, explaining multiple times I would send cue upon receipt and would gladly accept return I started to get the feeling he was waiting for me to offer to send cue prior to payment. After 9 days no m.o. And I followed up he said he got busy and just sent it which was a change in his story. I never received the m.o. And didn't follow up again. I figured I still had the cue so no harm, but the whole thing felt wrong.

I wasn't out anything and I thought maybe it was in my head but I thought it was wierd how he lied twice about sending payment. Guess my gut was right.

Hope you get this straightened out.

Tried to sweeten the pot by adding an extra $50. Why would someone do that unless they had an angle.

The guys sounds like a smarmy salesman. Good that you listened to your initial instinct.

The fact that you never received a MO should speak volumes on what was going to go down.

Ya know, if it seems to good to be true, many times it is exactly that.

If he keeps it up, it will catch up to him sooner than later.

This "I'll send $50 extra" comment reminds me of an Ebay scam I sidestepped a few years ago. I might have posted this before I but I did a search and can't find it.

I was selling a dining room table on Ebay, asking $1000. A guy emails me a full page, rambling message, with confusing grammar. His proposal was he would send me a cashiers check for something like $1500. He would send a "shipper" to collect the table from me. I would keep $1000, give the shipper $200 to take away the table, and I could keep the $300 extra for my inconvenience of having to go to the bank to cash the cashiers check.

This seemed convoluted, so I wrote back asking to discuss it on the phone. He then said he was currently out of the country and did not have access to a phone. Red flag alert.

So I searched the Ebay FAQ's and found this is a known scam. Apparently you can go to a bank and get a cashiers check and not have the money in the bank to cover it. The guy probably wanted to avoid the phone so I would not recognize his voice. He himself would be the "shipper" that showed up. He would take my table and go sell it somewhere, I would give him $200 cash on top of that. Then the cashiers check would bounce...

That's a standard Craigslist type of scam...offering to send you 'extra' money for something, then later it turns out to be a fake money order, or sometimes they dispute payment thru paypal and other sites to try and get their money back.

He has since sent a second package with 2 shafts. I put them on a lathe. The only way I can salvage them is by cutting the ferrules off which will shorten shaft by inch and a half or so. Plus they are crooked. I now have received One warped butt, one cue that wasnt even in the deal, 3 of the worst shafts I have ever seen in my life, 1 decent OB shaft, I no name jump stick, and 1 decent butt that is no where near the condition that was advertised. Again, it feels like he cleaned out his closet and gave me the junk he wanted to get rid of.

He needs to reimburse you for the value of the Meucci Day Agent, plus the shipping costs to ship his junk back to him to make this right. Otherwise he goes down as just another rip-off artist to pollute AZB.

He is now claiming in the other thread that he is going to send a 'brand new cue' to make the OP whole. I am reserving any further comments on the matter until we see just what kind of 'brand new cue' the OP receives, and if it's straight. Hopefully he will give a heads-up to the OP as to the kind of 'brand new cue' he is going to receive, and that it is going to be acceptable. At this point, the OP needs to be made satisfactorily whole.

He needs to be given his old cue back or the cash in replacement value. I wouldn't except anything less.
