Searching for CUE TIPS Hardness list !

Dear AZ GUYS,

does anybody has a link or file with a measured CUE TIP ´s in SHORE.
Where different cue tips are listet with their truely measured hardness !!!

I`m already preparing a great list and need more details as many as possible !

Any idea please PN.

Sorry, thanks for your effort, but
I´m searching or not for a scale , i Search for a list with measured
tips by Drometer !!! A CUE TIP Hardness list from as many a possible
TIP manufacturers.

I will prepare a hardness list for all possible cue tips offered on the worldwide
market !!!

If anybody has a special tested and measured tip, can sent me but need next details : photo, manufacturer, material, and shore hardness MEASURED WITH DUROMETER
 
In my opinion, such a list is a good starting point, but if this is for practical use ie determining what you want to buy, tips vary from batch to batch especially with the softer tips. If this is just for info sake, then that's another story.

Good point.

I think it was Joe Blackburn (Spelling, name) was telling me years ago at the Glass City tournament that when he buys tip he tests the hardness of everyone one, and marks them because they do vary and he wants to make sure that the buyer gets the hardness that he asks for. So according to him they even vary in the same batch.

I guess it depends on how accurate you want to be.
 
TESTING Phase

Yes you are All right.
First of all I want to create a "complete" List where all possible TiPS worldwide
are listed. Such a list do not exist.
Second our testing will be permanently. So we will ask the manufacturer
to sent us testing samples. So we wil get more and more informations
about tips, consistent of hardness, quality of manufacturing and many more.

So - we become an average of cue tip hardness. This is much more than we have now ! At this time nobody can decide how secure it is that a the ordered cue tip will match the last one ! And mostimportant , I can compare cue tips ! And can test other we same hardness indicators or near the same !

These details will be add to our new special cue tips site which is still in construction !!!
All AZ Guy will be informed after finsihing them.

Your quest to catagorize all manufacturers is very ambitious, The person that knows more about tips than anybody that i've come across in 40yrs is -with out a doubt- Tony at Black Boar, he tests every tip, and not only for hardness. You should contact him, i'm sure that he will be glad to share some ov the knowledge he has aquired over his 60+ years.

i think you will find that there is such wide variation in each manufacture as well as from box to box and year to year as well as what hide they are cut from and where on the hide they are cut from. the variation is so wide that giving each brand an average rating is not a accurate representation because sometimes you will find med. or soft tips in a box labeled hard - they are not even close sometimes
