We obviously have different definitions of a good business person- I don’t define a good business person as one who builds a good reputation and then uses that reputation to screw all future customers - that is a con man- building confidence to screw the unsuspecting.

Business makes money, that's how I see it, he obviously has enough money being thrown at him to not give two shits. But I do actually agree with you.

I’m having the same issue with Searing. I sent my cue to him in April to have an extra shaft made. He had told me that it would take around 30 days. Since then I have tried several times to call and text him, but have not gotten any response. Even if he had told me that it would take much longer than 30 days I wouldn’t mind, but I don’t get how you can ghost and completely ignore your own customers. Not sure what to do at this point, just want my cue back.
 
Sorry I don't understand what was happening before this tread started. Can anyone explain to me in a simple way?

I'm afraid you donated your cue to the Searing Foundation. Hopefully it wasn't a good cue.

Did the OP get his issue resolved? It seems like he posted in another thread that he was getting his cues, including a $50k szamboti blank, so what's the update with Searing? Doesn't seem fair to rant about it, reach a potential resolution, and then not speak to the issue again to amend some of the allegations that were made....?

50k for a BLANK? I'd love to know what made it worth the extra 47 or 48k. I can't think of anything.

I presume it is a Szamboti blank finished by Searing, S+S=$50k? I'm sure it will fetch a significant amount as a nice piece of history, but $50k seems steep. But BBs seem to be astronomical without using historical pieces to assemble, so whatever people will pay will serve as the market....heck people buy Bitcoin and even as a GenXer I'm lost on that as well, but missed that boat long ago, lol.
 
Didn't see this thread until now...I thought Searing was fixing a lot of these past issues. Still got my cue as well, but it was only a sneaky Pete conversion....that needed the pin to be glued back. Had my hope up when I was at SBE, and John Showman called him up for me, and he told me he would ship my cue back. Sent him my address, he confirmed on the text, and then nothing again for a few years now. Figure that maybe one day, he will address all these issues and get back on track to what he does best, making the best cue in the world.

Just doesn't make sense that he couldn't do it....the man has the brand and quality. If he had any business sense, he would fix these issues with everyone and go back to making more money than he'll need. Don't really know how much trouble he got himself into, but if you think about it....let's say he set back 200K with all the issues with everyone. He can continue to make more cues to clear the debts.....I mean he can create a series....like SW....instead of pacifier...call it....payback cues. lol.

Searing who he, a Cuemaker deserves nothing, his Cues are over hyped Cues. How many people has he screwed over.

Any P{ro Player playing with a Searing, if not why not if the SEARING is the FOOKING Grail cue.

Strickland learned to play well with a CueTec, and got 150K a year for doing so.

He would not be in this position. Seems to not care about others property. Best cues in the world? Does anyone really miss not having one. Sorry to hear about the customers that are stuck.
