Hey Lisa,

Two (2) dates that won't work are March 31st (8-Ball League Playoffs) and April 14th (8-Ball Top Shooters Playoffs) ;)

Portland

Oh, there's me, too.. Push it out far enough into Spring and I may be able to make it! I'll try to log on before then. Hopefully the free Portland wifi will be up and running on my block by then! :D

Count me in too, Lisa. I thought I had already confirmed via pm. I just thought of one other Seattleite, Shpshtr. He owns Dr. Cues.

HI all, Hi Linda, I would be more than happy to meet people from AZ and fill a spot if needed, I would be willing to throw in some pool gift certificates, maybe some door prizes if wanted. I havent played much in last few years but would be happy to hack it around and fill a spot or just come out say hi and bring some prizes. Let me know,
Linda- Corey is in town dont know if mike is looking to play or not, some good matches on webcam this week should be running fine also on jpeg the mpeg 4 is hanging up though. I believe Mr. Louie is playing right now, against Tommy A. The cam gets hit pretty heavy so you might need to refresh and such quite often, these darn cameras have no idea how to keep it running perfect. Oh well.
Let me know If I can help out! Bye

Hey, this sounds like fun. If I've got a couple weeks notice, I can make sure I've got the day off. Count me in (tentatively).

-C. Ray

Don't forget KingCarom when you do the invitations. ;) He hasn't been on in awhile though.

Okay...I have checked with our gracious host (Ken) and we're looking at Saturday, March 17th for the tournament. Yes, it's St Patrick's Day...can you think of a better day for playing on the 'green'?!;) He does not have anything 'special' going on that day...so no conflicts. And I feel this is far enough out to give everyone plenty of notice...and the weather will be better (hopefully) for travel, than say in February.

Let me know if this is do-able for most of you, and please confirm your spot for that date. If you have already confirmed, but have a scheduling conflict, please let me know, so that I may clear that spot for someone who may be able to attend. Remember, we are trying to limit the field to 20 players.

I'm really looking forward to this little event...and would like to see it take off and perhaps expand to an annual thing for us Northwester's.:D

Hi Lisa,

Just a quick note to say thanks for your efforts thus far. I am really looking forward to it. A quick question, instead of 20 people would 24 be a better fit? Most score sheets are based on multiples of 8 ie: 8,16,24,32,64 etc. Just a thought. If there is anything I can do to help let me know. I just got a new camera, a Nikon D200, and will bring it along so we can share the event with the board. Hopefully the Queen can give me some help so we can post the photos on her website. March 17th is marked on my calendar, I will be there. Time to practice as I have been working so much I haven't been playing at all.

Hey Linda, do you ever see Jeff Jimenez (Mr J)? It would be nice to have him there along with his beautiful Dave Jones Cue.

I could call him. He and CigarDave might come along. I don't have a website to post the pics to, but once they are downloaded, I can post them on the forum for you.

I need to check the tournament schedules for that weekend, but if it's a go, is anyone interested in carpooling up to Bellingham? I live SE of Seattle.

Well, we are going to expand the field to 24, if we can get that many to commit. Also, we initially thought 9 Ball would be the way to go, but we could do 8 Ball, if it is preferred. I prefer 8 to 9, but 9 Ball does seem to go a bit faster.

Here's a pic of the tables at Ken's place...just to give you an idea.:D

Linda,

Thanks for your offer of help. The files from this camera can be huge. Everytime I post one, after reducing, the quality goes out the window.

I mistakenly thought that you had a website, I remember clicking on a link in one of your posts and finding a lot of photos that you had downloaded. Would it be possible for us to be able to do something along those lines?

I have spoken to a few people already who have confirmed, and since it looks like we may not get a field of 20-24...we are figuring closer to maybe 12-16...we are going to switch the game from 9 Ball to 8 Ball. If this is a huge big deal, please let me know...but so far, the feedback has been leaning more towards playing 8 Ball.
