My book the secret art of pool will be available in the next few days for the kindle.

It will be available on amazon and is priced at $9.99. i will post the link once its ready..

Thanks Lee

Wow! Great book for a great price! It doesn't get much better than that! Maybe a Lee Brett in person pool clinic would top that! :)

Look forward to working with you Lee to help WorldPPA players with their game! Thanks for doing the evaluations at the Reno Shootout! I like the format you used and the players really enjoyed the feedback on their game!

Well, you asked...

I think more pictures to support the descriptions would have been wonderful. As I said earlier, everything that I have seen so far looks like good. Just saying some of the descriptions might have been more effective with a picture or three.

Thanks for the book! I have enjoyed it and the idea of inside/outside the box is excellent! I have always used that mentality but have never been as good or as efficient at it as I am now after reading your book!

Don't get me wrong. You did well with this book. It is a good tool for improving one's pool game. I have enjoyed it!

I gotta study that snooker stance some more though ;)

I like the out of the box and in the box concepts. Would like to see the V-grip in pics of possible. I tried it according to the description and it's awkward which makes me think I am doing it wrong. Someone I talked to the other day said it's the nuts for straightening out his stroke.

For $10 this book is very good. Given time and some revision I think it will only get better.

To start with I am reading on the Kindle app on my ipad .

There seriously needs to be a lot more images to show the techniques you are advocating.

The drills have almost no instruction with them except what you wrote using the wei tool. I tried to understand the drills and basically gave up. With the huge influx of instructional books your drills need to incorporate what you are advocating in such a way to reinforce it.

From a price point of view these are books I spent 10.00 on in e-format

Banking with the Beard
Cue Ball Cheat Sheets
Safety Toolbox
The Art of War vs the Art of Pool

While your book was a great read and I will probably read it again I would have figured the price point to be around 7.99 or so...tops..especially if you were aware it needed tweaking.

On the positive side your book was easy to read and I did immediately take one quick lesson away from it

That's where I am with the grip. Having taught the golf most of my life, I fully understand the idea of the V's in a grip. But I still haven't decoded the V grip yet. Still reading on it though

Even though the iPad has the Kindle app, Kindle books don't always translate as well to the iPad as they do to the Kindle device. You should see about selling your book through the iTunes book store, formatted specifically for the iPad. They usually do an overall better polished job than Amazon does with the Kindle.

I agree with you about the pics but feel your are being a bit harsh on price point. The fact that you immediately drew a quick lesson from it makes it well worth the $10 you spent...imo

Maybe I should log off AZB after 3-4 beers... lol

Since we are giving up constructive criticism I'd like to see the diagrams done in a much higher resolution. It's impossible to read the text.

For what it's worth Lee you can print the whole thing in a PDF file and send it to those of us who purchased the initial Kindle version. You don't lose any money that way and we get the revision without having to buy another book.

I simply listed the price point to give a idea of what the current market is and what is offered for that price. I did not say it was not worth the 10.00 I said compared to other books with more diagrams, more drills, and generally more polish the book does fall somewhat short. The advice was that if he wants to compete in that price point the game will need to be stepped up.

imo

I don't know if I am doing the v-grip the right way but I was sure firing balls up the rail using it about an hour ago. No time to practice right now but the initial results are pretty nice.
