selecting a new cue

Ok I have it narrowed down to a Joss (no unilock joint - i e-mailed Joss and they said it had a standard steel joint) or a Mcdermott both in the $220 price range.
Now a show of hands people which one?
 
I'd go with the Joss for a stiffer hit.

McD for a slightly softer hit.

Both are good cues, just boils down to preference.
 
Just for info sake. I just found some good looking cues by Omega.
Very nice simple designs at a resonable price. Any body know about these? I'm guessing they are imports so the quality make be suspect.
